From the series PERSONA, (Meleager, Chestnut Trees Room) Untitled @chateauversailles. When winter comes, under the canvas tarp sheltering them, we no longer know which philosopher, hero, emperor, goddess or god is facing us. Nor their gender. The shaping of the fabric fools us by evoking a female figure in a ball gown on a representation of Bacchus and the austere dress of a monk on the statue of a Draped Woman also known as Messalina. With their ambiguous presence, these faceless beings become the perfect medium for our projections and by delving into the emotions they awaken in us, we unveil ourselves.
