A truly balanced approach to nutrition isn’t actually about your diet, it’s all in your mindset.
A balanced mindset allows you to freely enjoy treats without guilt and shame, you treat food as energy and love for your system rather than an emotional crutch. It also means you respect your body’s needs and try your best to supply it with its preferred fuel.
I am certainly not immune to food guilt especially after a very indulgent birthday weekend but I have learned to catch that internal dialogue ASAP and move the fuck on because the binge and restrict cycle is exhausting and unproductive.
