Have you registered for Coldest Night of the Year yet?? 😀 We would appreciate your help!
On Saturday February 23rd, hundreds of people from our KW community will be walking down King St to raise funds for our Community Centre. These funds make up 1/3 of our Centre's annual budget and mean that we can continue to serve hundreds of hungry, homeless, and hurting people every day!

As the last of the Christmas gifts trickled in after the holidays, a staff member shared this story. We are very grateful to all of our donors and volunteers who made this story possible!
On Christmas day there was an elderly couple walking through downtown Kitchener. They had hit hard times and were now homeless. Feeling unprepared for life on the streets, they weren't sure where to turn for help until they met a long-term guest of Ray of Hope. Upon hearing that they had no food, he invited them to dinner at Ray of Hope. The couple was surprised to hear that we serve meals every day of the year, including on Christmas day!
They were grateful for the staff and volunteers who greeted them warmly and served them a good quality meal. They were also offered mitts and coats and extra groceries.
It is stories with hope like this that warm our hearts. Stories that are only made possible by those who support us in a variety of ways, throughout the year. ❤️ May God bless you all! ❤️
Merry Christmas to all of our friends on Instagram!
Remember not to have a meltdown in the pursuit to perfection. Pursue love instead.
Love God 🙏, love others.... 👨👩👧👦
And love yourself enough to know when to rest!! ❤️❤️❤️
Santa made a delivery via Owl Childcare (St John Paul location)! They brought us pasta and sauce, baby foods, toiletries, tuna, peanut butter and soups... Not to mention BIG smiles!! 😁
You have no idea how big of an impact you have made to someone who can't afford these items this Christmas🎄. THANK YOU! 💛
Our Refugee House 🏡 team is BACK!
They spent a few days in Montreal learning from peers across #Canada and to hear updates from our government. "I really appreciated the opportunity to discuss the challenges we face as refugee service providers, ultimately bring about SOLUTIONS and be able to voice them to the government". - Vanessa, staff @welcomehomekw
It was an especially important 🎓 learning experience🎓 for our two interns!

That's a nice ray of sun ☀ (or is that a Ray of HOPE? 😁) THANK YOU to everyone who supported our refugee services this month for #givingtuesdayca With the matching gift, we have raised $4950 in support so far. 👍👍 Way to bring HOPE to families who can now learn English, get a winter coat, have a roof over their heads, and make a new life here in Canada 🍁. #WelcomeHome
