Tactics, Fitness and Motivation. 🇺🇸⚔️ ▪️Ran by LEOs @policepostsfitness @policepoststraining ⬇️14 DAY FREE TRIAL FITNESS PROGRAM⬇️
Training Points: 1. Be confident in your abilities when going hands on. If you are rely only on your basic academy training or that one class you took... you’re wrong. These types of skills needs to be consistently trained. 2. Train BJJ: 2-3 time a week in addition to your fitness program should be 50% of your overall training. Check out @policepostsfitness 3. Simply knowing how to apply pressure to the right areas of the body can help you control an individual. Keeping you away from punches and protecting your weapons. 4. Skill=Confidence=Safety————————————————————————- #policeposts #trainbjj #makeitmandatory #training

This incident took place in Portland, Maine. It ended with the Sgt being called and the individual getting his gun and going about his business. THIS IS NOT A 2A POST. It’s an officer safety post. We at PolicePosts support the right to carry 100%. This officer was NOT trying to take his weapon. LE received a call about a “man with gun”. Vague right?!———————————————————————— 1. Know your concealed/open carry laws per state. 2. Understand that the only info LE gets most of the time is general location and vague description like “man with gun”. 3. Know that some individuals do this in hopes of a payday or fame. Stay professional. Don’t be intimidated by some throwing out case law, etc. If you know your laws, SOPs, etc be confident it your knowledge. Knowledge=confidence=success

Training Points/Questions: *Backstory: individual did in fact shoplift and was arrested when uniformed officers arrived.* 1. Does he have an obligation to stop this possible crime while off-duty? 2. If she can show proof, can he just let her go? 3. Let’s say she does provide proof, can she press charges on the off-duty Officer? 4. Would you allow someone who possibly committed a crime reach in their bag or maintain control and wait for uniformed officers to arrive? Let’s hear it.

Training Points: 1. Risk v Reward: situation dictates. We always want to get the bad person but at what cost. 2. Training under stress: obviously we can’t duplicate this exact four wheeler situation but training under stress will reveal certain reactions. Find those weaknesses and work on them. You can train some human reactions so that they become second nature. 3. Stay safe. Train Smart. Train Hard. *Background: unofficial source: Officer was hit by this 4-wheeler but then tried to take him into custody*

▪️Be mindful of your environment. ▪️Stay focused. Understand your actions and words can cause a situation to become worse thus leading to an unexpected outcome. ▪️Don’t rush certain situations. Think. Focus. Solve the issue. Individual is on a roof top. Is it worth the risk of fighting on the roof? He has no where to go. ▪️You are always being watch. Your performance on and off camera shouldn’t change. Just do your job and be confident. ▪️Stay Safe. Be Smart. Train Hard. *Background: Distraught teenager on the roof. From the info I received: no one was injured in this incident*

Training Points: (Not mentioned) ▪️These breakdowns aren’t meant to be play by play but to give an idea of how to be more prepared for a situation. Ask yourself: What did I learn? How can I grow? ▪️A little goes a long way: Training BJJ, in different areas (self defense, competition, etc) 2 times a week minimum will increase your confidence when going hands on. ▪️We get comments “Train Judo” “Train Wrestling” etc: do your research before commenting. BJJ is NOT just a ground game. ▪️Most people who say BJJ doesn’t work have never trained BJJ. Fact. ▪️Stay Safe Family. Train Smart. Train Hard.
