The apples are ripening here in the historic orchard at Shedbush holiday cottage, which includes old cider and eating varieties. Can you name any of them? #autumn #apples #harvest #westdorset

Artist @bobandrobertasmith and students from Dorset schools have been painting their modern day Tolpuddle Martys as part of the National Trust’s #peopleslandscapes programme, celebrating places where people came together to create change. The exhibition of their work is on display @shire_hall_dorset, the courthouse where the Martyrs were tried and sentenced. In one cell Bob has placed his own painting of Nazanin Zagari Ratcliffe and shut the door, symbolising her continuing imprisonment @freenazanin. The courtroom is full of paintings of the Tolpuddle Martyrs Tree which is cared for by @nationaltrust and is a symbol of enduring hope. Exhibition runs til 6 Sept. #paintfreedom

Kestrel fledglings have been enjoying watching our Ranger @seasalted_nick unload wood today. One even flew in for a closer look and perched on the bonnet. @nationaltrustsouthwest #wildlife #birdsofinstagram
