In my mindfulness courses I teach people that mindfulness is not justly translated into being present. Mindfulness is a greater skill, it’s training the mind to be non-reactive. ⠀ We live in an over stimulated world where we are constantly tempted to react, to every person and situation. ⠀ How do we train the mind to be neutral, to be still like the lake? ⠀ Well, it’s called meditation. The more we sit to meditate the more we condition the mind to be calm and thus becoming less reactive in our day to day lives. ⠀ The less we react the more we reserve our power.
