I wear love and no it’s not designer.
Lately I’ve been saying "thank you" a lot, mostly to the Universe.
For this life, this path, and all the relationships that have been perfectly woven into it.
Where there is too much, something is missing.
Growing up I had no real structure or routine. Moving from house to house, never living with the same parent or grandparent for that matter.
And now as an adult it’s proved difficult to be disciplined and routined. I wish I could say I have a Gabrielle Bernstein morning routine where I religiously meditate and drink hot water with lemon.
My morning routine is more like dragging my feet to the coffee machine and melting into my sofa with the pets until it’s time to put big girl clothes on 🤷🏼♀️
However lacking my childhood may have been I won’t allow it to dictate my actions for the rest of my life. I’m taking ownership that my lack of structure rests solely on me now and NOT my upbringing.
I know I’m getting ahead of myself but 2019 will be a year of sweet morning routines and better habits!
Working out and being healthy should be fun. It’s not numbers on a scale or calories in an app, it’s about how you feel mentally.
Remember that healthy looks different in every body. My healthy body may not look like yours and that’s OK. The question is do you feel ok mentally? Are you sleeping enough? Are you eating food that feels good in YOUR body? If the answer is yes, congratulations you’re HEALTHY.
For years I didn’t feel healthy even though I practiced yoga 5 times a week and Crossfit 3 times a week sprinkled with some Soul Cycle- all because I couldn’t lose stubborn fat.
So fucking what? I’m a fit girl with some good ole Cuban fat 🤷🏼♀️
This is MY version of healthy. What’s yours?
Much needed girls day was a success thanks to @thestrandmiami! The #BeachafterBrunch event was exactly what my bestie and I needed.
Acai bowls galore and dips in the ocean was the perfect way to end the week.

Today we started with a moment of silence in honor of all the lives affected by last night’s horrific shooting.
We used the power of meditation to lighten our hearts and collectively raise the vibration.
