Drove all night, napped in the tunnel view parking lot, then breakfast in Yosemite Valley with this view. Fully living. ✌🏽 #socalsnowchasers#teamtokina
Practicing being present in all situations and opportunities this year.... Which meant walking my behind out to the cold Lake Arrowhead shore after a long conference day to work on those night photog skills. #worthit

Last week I was beat. 2017 had worn me down and I wanted get on social media and whine about how difficult my year had been, how I couldn't wait for it to end, etc. But I just could not hit the post button. It would have been indulgent.
Yes, there was a TON of hard stuff. Seriously-what-just-happened things that give you mental whiplash. But there was also so much good. Friends who were supportive when I needed them most (and I needed them a lot! 💜), we gained an amazing future sister-in-law, New Zealand, a visit from the kiwi fam, and more.
This new year is a welcome reboot, but last year was a lesson in the many sides of faithfulness. I'm grateful to have lived it.
Bringing back a personal Christmas Eve tradition.
I keep thinking about this massive, disproportionate Santa and his reindeer friends. 'Twas impossible to look away.
Someday I'm going to spend Christmas in New Zealand, Santa. Just you wait.
