Today is ‘Blue Monday’ which is claimed to be the most depressing day of the year. It’s worth noting that this has no scientific backing and was made in 2005 by a travel company (mmmm if you’re feeling grey and depressed, great time to book a holiday #NaughtyTravelCompany). . Saying that, January can be hard for a lot of reasons. The wages are having to stretch harder thanks to Christmas, it’s cold, the days are short and we’re not supposed to eat selection boxes for breakfast anymore. Waahh! 🌧💨 . If you are feeling a bit glum today, I want to remind you that tomorrow is another day and that if you’re in this community, you’re not alone. If you need a bit of kindness, say so in the comments and let’s all make a real effort to respond to each other. Make it your #GoodDeed of the day to reply to at least 2 people with positivity and love. 💖 . If I’m feeling down, I find watching cheery YT videos, having hot bubble baths, eating yummy foods, going to bed early, snuggling the cats or babies or just ringing a friend really helps. It’s also ok to just say, ‘I feel a bit down today’, without forcing yourself to climb out if it right away. . If you’re feeling really low, people like The Samaritans (@samaritanscharity) for adults and @nspcc_official for under 18’s are there for you, free of charge, confidentially. Big, big loves to you today and looking forward to a comment section full of support and kindness. Xxxx . #BlueMonday #Positivity #Help #HappinessTips 🛁💕 Picture credit- Pinterest, fatmumslim.
