... over the last few months, I’ve met some really exceptional people who lead with love and it’s really made an impact on me. They’re the kind of genuine souls that make me want to be a better person. It got me thinking about some of the disheartening behaviors/trends I’ve noticed both online and off — the negativity, the shit-talking people behind their backs, and the making fun of others’ content or creativity. It’s petty, and it’s high school. We should be champions for one another, encouraging each other and making it comfortable to be yourself in whatever form that may be. It’s hard enough to be authentically ‘you’ in the social media age, and it’s harder when folks are chopping away at your confidence behind the scenes or behind a screen.
I’m so very guilty of this, too. I’ve found myself saying “oh why would they post that” or “I would never do X, Y or Z” and at the end of the day, why should it matter to me? Why am I allowing my insecurities to get in the way of someone doing whatever makes them happy? A troll is someone I never want to be and I’m embarrassed about some of the toxic places I’ve allowed my mind to wander. I say all this not to reprimand anyone or seek any affirmations - but just as a gentle reminder that we’re all working toward the same goal: leaving the world better than we found it. Be kind, be supportive, and offer a contagious kind of positivity. Let’s make others feel worth it and not worthless.
It’s something I’m working on and I just wanted to encourage y’all to do the same - I guess our moms were right after all “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” 💕 happy Friday, friends — love you to the moon and back!
You can take the boy outta New York, but you can’t take the New York outta the boy 🗽🤷🏻♂️ • made it to Palm Springs with @hm_@hm (and wearing this killer @hm one-piece boilersuit) and beyond excited for festival fun this weekend 🎡🎶 #hmleague#hmxme#HMfestival
Probably thinking about what I’m gonna get at happy hour tbh 💭🍹 • @kennethcole jeans + sneakers // snapped by @aeguz
I'm always working for the weekend and waiting (sometimes impatiently) for the moment the clock strikes 5PM on Friday. Getting through the week can be tough when the weekend looms beautifully ahead - but thankfully @dunkin's new Chocolate Cherry Cold Brew is THE thing getting me from Monday to Friday in one piece. Suddenly, waiting for the weekend doesn't seem so hard! 😉🙌🏼 #dunkin#ad • ALSO, y'all can snag a medium size of this tasty Cold Brew for only $2 from 2-6PM... game over 🤤😍
