Oh hey! 👋🏻 It’s me! ✨ I thought I’d pop over and say hey! This is my face. It’s been a while and there’s probably a few more grey hairs since this was shot but we’ll overlook that fact okay? ✨ There is a reason I’m showing you lovely wall though! I’m on a hunt for pastel coloured walls in the south west! They don’t have to be strictly walls, beach huts would count! Do you know of any? This was actually taken on Plymouth Hoe and is supposed to be red but my filter made it pink! 💛 ✨ Do you know of any pretty pastel walls in Somerset or Bristol? Or maybe even Devon? There is a pink wall in my village but it’s right on the main road and I don’t fancy my chances at being road kill for the sake of a photo 🙈🥞 <— that would be me, only more gross looking!

Ha! If only right? 🙋🏻‍♀️ ✨ Friday went a bit like this: Me: woo yeah! Test print on a new colour time! So exciting! *Printy, printy, printy...* - A little while later... Ross: Jo? What’s up? Why are you in a strop? Me: It’s all gone wrong 😩 I’ve had this kit for weeks. I’ve talked about it for ages, it’s going to be a huge anti climax when I finally do release it but it feels like I’m going no where. Ross: It will be worth it in the end, you’ve just got to be patient. Slow and steady wins the race! 💁🏻‍♂️ ✨ So anyway, I think my word of the week needs to be patience. If only I could pop to Tesco to buy some! How handy would that be? 😂

I thought it was about time I showed you what I’ve been working on! Over the last two months I’ve drawn two new alphabets and this is the first! I completed this one a couple weeks ago and it’s been patiently waiting to be applied to some new products! ✏️ The funny thing about this photo is that it wasn’t going to look anything like this! A complete tantrum last night and lying on the floor in a strop meant a new idea floated in when Ross suggested I printed the letters big instead of small. So this morning I chopped out a big R and a big J! Which has also led to a new product idea and a new decoration for the wall in our studio! It’s funny how these things turn out! I’ll pop up the studio shot in my stories so you can see what I did with them! ✏️ What do you think? Do you like my new alphabet? Would you use big card letters in your studio? I’ve already got a plan for them but I’m still all ears! 💛

This is your friendly Wednesday reminder to keep going! ✨ Yesterday, I had another go at that product I was having trouble with. You know, the one I melted 🤦🏻‍♀️ and this time it went much better! In fact, I ended up accidentally learning something new about my cutter AND I didn’t melt anymore samples! Coming back at it for another go has left me feeling a little more confident about it which has given me the boost I needed to get on with the rest of it! ✨ So, just keep going with what you’re doing, baby steps are all steps towards progress. Even if you do melt your stock along the way! 🌈

Oops! - It’s Monday 🙈 Oops! - Ross spilt tea on my desk and journal... Oops! - I threw that journal on the floor and out fell my stickers! That was a happy accident! Oops! - I didn’t finish last weeks list so I did some of it on a Sunday. Oops! - I melted my latest product 😂🙈🤦🏻‍♀️ That last oops would have usually stressed me out but actually I found it pretty funny! Shame there’s no undo option but hey, that’s real life! You can pick up your own cute oops sticker over in my etsy shop as part of a sticker set. Sadly he doesn’t undo your mistakes but he does have a friendly face! Have you got any silly oops from last week?

I wasn’t going to post today. But then I saw a story by Helen from @thecbnteam and I thought that maybe I would. I’ve been hanging onto this photo for well over a month now and never finding an appropriate time to post it because I don’t like to be ‘salesy’. There’s something about writing sales posts that make me cringe. But basically Helen said just get on with it and tag her so here I am! I’ll keep it short, sweet and to the point. 1. This popular insta post is now a print (and has been for some time) 😂 and 2. Thank you for all your pocket mirror comments on Wednesday. I’ve reactivated the ones I have stock of, and discounted them (still with free shipping) and added them to Etsy, link in bio 💛 There! Done it! *washes hands and puts on the kettle as a reward*. Now that’s out the way, what are you doing this weekend? I’m going to walk some alpacas and I’m soooo excited to go and hang out with some animals! Don’t worry, there will be pictures! 🦙

So stage one of removing my badge machine from my store has happened 😭 all mirror products have now been discontinued. I couldn’t bring myself to do badges at the same time because it made my store look so empty. That will be a job for next week... I don’t know why I’m so worried about pulling them. It’s silly. Anyway, I’ve got a small bunch of mirrors left over from a craft fair before Christmas and I’m not entirely sure what to do with them. Maybe list them in my sale section or maybe pop them in as freebies for those who spend over a certain amount? I don’t know. What do you think?

And just like that March is over and another year of #marchmeetthemaker has come to an end! I honestly can’t believe how fast it went. It only seems like yesterday that I was worrying over the prompts before their release. I just want to say a great big thank you to each and everyone of you who took part 💛 without you guys it wouldn’t be the challenge it is today and I’m super grateful that you all come together in this wonderful community and share your small business story with us all. Thank you for taking part, for liking, sharing, commenting, encouraging and for cheer each other on. You’re amazing! I’d also like to say a great big thanks for @cottonfoxprints and @sunshineandstrawberries_uk for helping to share so many of you over on the @heytheremaker page! Those story shares wouldn’t have happened without these two amazing people 💛 I guess I’d better get my thinking cap on for next year now! Anyway, this is a massive thank you to you my friends, love you loads and keep being you 😘
