On October 14, close to 3,000 students and staff set out from Cathedral High School on an 8km “Walk with Christ” in support of the poor in the Global South. The Pilgrimage, established 15 years ago as a system-wide service project for Grade 7-12 students, not only teaches students about issues in the developing world, but creates a mechanism through which they can commit financial and emotional support. More than $600,000 has been raised for development projects in Haiti, Uganda and the Dominican Republic. Please check out our Facebook page for more photos.

On October 11, staff & students from St. Kateri Tekakwitha held a harvest celebration in recognition of the school’s 40th anniversary. To honour its patron saint, and in the spirit of Thanksgiving, the school also collected non-perishable food items for the local Neighbour to Neighbour Centre.
