Society keeps saying, “Be yourself." But in the same breath, society will look at you and say,”OH...but not like that." For me, people who don't fit in society's box is my kind of people. In my world, boxes don't exist. - As a blogger, I share the majority of my life on social media. This does not come without a price. For the most part, PEOPLE ARE GOOD and I’m thankful for those of you who are kind and gracious. However, with good always comes bad. - Here are some msgs I GET A LOT: "Mac, I love you, but you really disappointed me when you did __” "Mac, because you have over a hundred thousand followers, you are held to a higher standard." "Hey, you're a really bad mom." “You talk really weird.” - This is how society comes knocking at my door telling me all the ways I have gotten it wrong. My authenticity makes some people uncomfortable. Therefor, they attack my character because it doesn’t align with who they are or what they believe. It’s sad that there are people who feel entitled to comment on other’s life/choices as if they have a say. - What you may not know about me.... I am the same person whether I have 5 followers or a million followers. I am loud, sometimes a little spicy and definitely not everyone's cup of tea. I love my husband and adore my precious girls. I am a great mother and wife. I love creating recipes and building a community out of love and kindness. I love supporting others through sharing my own struggles. - I have extremely big hair and it makes me really happy. I also have one eyebrow that aggressively moves up and down when I talk. It's really quite funny if you watch me talk in stories. I have cellulite and have been skinny, fat, and everything in between. I live with chronic back pain that literally takes me to my knees some days. I struggle with depression/PCOS and wouldn't trade any of these quirks for society’s approval. - Let's start loving people for everything they are instead of judging them for everything they’re not. - When society comes IN MY HOUSE telling me who I should or shouldn't be, they better be ready to see one crazy peach, because this momma is tired. - Mac🍑
