FRS Master Instructor @hunterfitness ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚾️ #MLB TESTIMONIAL #FunctionalRangeSystems • • • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thought it was pretty cool to see my session with Josh Bell @bell.josh19 , working in his off season a few months ago make www.MLB.com ’s article on why and how Josh is having an all star season. (The session was just a small part of it.) ⠀ I would never claim to be the reason why an athlete is performing the way he is. Ever. Josh is one of the hardest working athletes I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. He earned what he accomplished this season. ⠀ My role was to lay out a few months of mobility programming which started with a FRA, followed up with in person sessions during off season, and then Josh maintained the homework I gave him and agreed to join my online KINSTRETCH classes to keep up his mobility homework while he is away from me. ⠀ In the article when asked about his last season- “I was just ticked off with last year. I was really hungry,” Bell said. “Especially now, I’m kind of seeing that we’ve got a chance at this thing if we all pay our dues and play our part.” ⠀ This is what it took to make Bell an All-Star, the starting designated hitter for the National League. It took talent and discipline, of course, and no one has ever doubted Bell’s ability or work ethic. It also took unwavering faith from the Pirates, from the day they drafted him in 2011 through his struggles last season, that he was capable of exactly this.” ⠀ Further into the article: “Bell spent his mornings working out at the Boras Sports Training Institute or with range specialist Hunter Cook. He improved his mobility, and the foundation he laid over the winter has allowed him to train harder than ever with Pirates strength coach Jim Malone.
⠀
“He’s bigger and stronger, but moving better,” Huntington (General manager of the @PittsburghPirates ) said. “That typically doesn’t happen.””
⠀
So stoked to see Bell get the recognition he deserves during the season of a lifetime. Cant wait to see what the future holds! ⠀ #HunterFitness #KINSTRETCH #JoshBell #PittsburghPirates #baseball https://www.mlb.com/news/josh-bell-s-journey-to-all-star-franchise-player

FRCms & FRAs @taylorstarch 💥CKC Tibial ER PAILs/RAILs #Fun#FunctionalRangeSystems • • • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s important to remember to challenge knee rotation in a closed kinetic chain due to the fact most knee injuries happen when we plant the foot and rotate under load. 👇 Over 80% of ACL tears are non contact injuries. 👇 What movement does the knee most commonly get injured in ?? Rotation. 👇 What is the least trained movement at the knee??? Rotation. 👇 We need to own rotation. 👇 The three leg bones that meet at your knee joint are the femur (your thigh bone), your tibia (the larger “shin bone” of your lower leg), and your fibula (the thinner bone on the lateral portion of your lower leg). 👇 The tibia should be able to rotate without pain, and without compensation from the femur or ankle. 👇 Tibial rotation is important for promoting proper meniscus motion and for supporting dynamic movements like changing directions, cutting, or pivoting (you don’t have to be an athlete to do these movements, even every day versions of them require tibia rotation). 👇 To perform set up on a mat or pad. Grab a heavy kettlebell and wedge it into a wall (you can also use the corner of a wall instead of a kettlebell for this as well). Max out external rotation of the knee in a half kneeing position. (Hard to see in this angle of the video) For PAILs: Internally Rotate your foot into the kettlebell or wall. For RAIlS: Actively open up your half- kneeling position or you can simply think rotate your body and torso away from the kettlebell or wall. 👇 IMPORTANT NOTE: This type of stretch goes 0 to 100 real quick. Be careful to not load too quickly as this position loads the knee ligaments significantly ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔻🔻🔻 #FunctionalRangeSystems ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #FunctionalRangeConditioning #FRCms #Mobility #ControlYourself #JointHealth • • • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @kinstretch #fitness #fitfam #instafit #knee #acl #athlete #prehab #rehab #running #spartantraining #mma #rotation #injury #runner #squats #legday #gym #gymlife

FRCms @mariasoemardi ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📝 Progress Report #Fun#FunctionalRangeSystems • • • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let's be real for a moment. Nobody hires me because they care about their shoulder rotation. Most people have never even thought about whether their shoulders rotate well before starting to work with me. My clients hire me because they mostly care about 3 things: . ✨They want to move pain free. ✨They want to be able to do the things they love again. ✨They want to prevent future problems. When I explain to them that the amount of workspace in their shoulder capsule is fundamental to achieving these goals, they start caring about their shoulder rotation. They put in the work cause they understand the mechanics of their shoulder better. They put in the work because they understand that re-modeling their tissues needs consistent input. My client @yogabybihterargun who you can see in the clip is doing the work relentlessly and getting the results. Beginning of the clip was shot during our first assessment. Later part of the clip was shot now 2 weeks into training. 🔈sound on for cues🔈 What you can’t see is the hard work that is between these 2 clips.
Bihter comes in once a week, but the real work happens when she is on her own:
DAILY CARs and A LOT of rotational training inputs.
I make sure every client has the knowledge and resources they need to get the work done on their own to create the lasting adaptations we seek. While we are working specifically to create more workspace in her shoulder our bigger long term goals are: . 💪🏽Expand Bihter’s painfree range of motion . 💪🏽Make her able to go about her daily activities again without restrictions . 💪🏽Get her shoulder resilient enough so that she can eventually get back to her active lifestyle, her yoga practice and whatever else she decides to take up. . ✨This is still beginning and I am thrilled to see the progress we’re going to make the rest of the year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔻🔻🔻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #FunctionalRangeSystems #FunctionalRangeConditioning #FRCms #Mobility #ControlYourself #JointHealth • • • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #mobilitytraining #mariasoemardi #shoulderhealth #shouldermobility #shoulderinjury #shoulderprehab #movementculture

FRCms & FR Practitioner @johfit ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💥Injury prevention #FunctionalRangeSystems Injury preventing is a word often use when doing ‘’functional type’’ exercises. I’m not saying they are no good, what i’m saying is that there’s so many intrinsics and extrinsics risk factors for injuries and we have no or little control on most of them (yes even the intrinsic one). By definition, it’s hard to say that we really can prevent them. With that being said, there is one factor that we do have alot of control on, and it’s the quality of our tissue. One of the main goal with @fun@functionalrangeconditioning is to increase our articular resilience. The principle is really simple to understand : If the load being place on the tissue is higher than the load bearing capacity of that tissue, that’s when injury occurs. By increasing the resilience of the tissue we don’t necessairly prevent injuries, but we mitigate the amount of damage if/when it occurs. #kinstretch #kinstretchface #kinstretchinstructor #controlledarticularrotations #movebetter #controlyourselfevenmore #frc #mob#mobilityning #mobility #mobilitywork #kinstretchenfrançais #pailsnrails #healthyjoints #painfreemovement @ticolescot @drand
