#CedarsSinai patient Natalie Harris Brown has this advice for others suffering from #IBD: "It sucks, it hurts, and you're going to have some bumps, but you're going to be OK," she says. "You're going to have a good life. We deal with this #ChronicDisease every day, but we don't let it define us."
Meet Jonathan Vickburg! When he's not working at schools around #LosAngeles as a counselor and #MentalHealth supervisor with the Share & Care program, he can be found practicing his other passion—magic. "I’ve done some #magic for the kids in my group, and occasionally I teach a trick to them. They turn around and do the tricks for each other," he says. "By developing skills and being able to show others, kids feel proud of what they’ve learned and connect in positive ways." 🎩 🐰 #FacesOfCedarsSinai
This installation by artist #RobertIrwin is called "George and Gracie." The grid of lights with 124 slim white tubes bent at right angles is in a space known as "the prow" in the corner of the Pavilion at #CedarsSinai.
Yesterday, #CedarsSinai heart and lung #TransplantPatients and their families met up with doctors, nurses, and staff for an annual summer picnic and friendly softball game. It was a great opportunity for staff like Dr. Jon Kobashigawa (second from left) to reconnect with many patients including these three brothers—Jaime, Jorge, and Alex Bedolla—who all had #HeartTransplants at Cedars-Sinai. ❤️#BedollaStrong
