Lest we forget. This morning, #AnzacDay services are being held at dawn to commemorate the brave Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in war and service to their country. If you're ever in Australia on April 25, it's worth the early start to take part in a dawn service - it's a poignant experience. For those travelling Australia outside of Anzac Day, you may like to head to our nation's capital of @visitcanberra where you can visit the @awmemorial and leave a poppy on the Honour Roll as a small token of respect. Welcome back, #Aur#Auroraralis - we've missed you! @pho@photo_rangers captured this sensational shot of the #SouthernLights from Cape Woolamai on @phillipisland over the weekend - apparently, it "burst into the sky and danced around" - and there were "giant arcs visible to the naked eye." Given its southern location, Phillip Island and the coast of Victoria is known as an excellent vantage point for watching the #Aurora, along with various spots in @tasmania. Pack your camera - this is seriously Instagrammable stuff! Photo: @photo_rangers #seeaustralia #visitvictoria #phillipisland #nature #travel #weather

“Give us a smooch, love!" 😚 Believe it or not, you can actually get this close to wild #koa#koala> whilst on tour with @kangarooislandodysseys in @southaustralia - watch our Instagram Stories ⬆️ to see what other wildlife you might bump into! It certainly seems like wildlife guide @nik@nikkiki73 has found a friend in this gorgeous male #koala, who lives at the company's private heritage bush property on @authentickangarooisland. There are hundreds of koalas on the property and they're all free to come and go as they please. 🐨 Photo: @nikkiki73 #seeaustralia #seesouthaustralia #authenticKI #wildlifephotography #travel #explore

When visiting @sydney, it's best not to hit snooze - there are too many beautiful spots to watch the sunrise from! Watching the sky change colour over the famous #SydneyHarbourBridge is definitely an experience you won't want to sleep through. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even watch the sunrise from the top of the bridge with @bridgeclimb. Not only will you see the sky light up over #Sydney's iconic buildings including the @sydneyoperahouse, but you'll get a bird's eye view of this beautiful city as it comes to life. AUTOREPLY: Thanks for getting in touch. We're busy strolling along the soft, white sands of #WineglassBay in @tas@tasmania, so you may need to resend your email at a later date. 😉 You couldn't blame someone for not wanting to return to the office after a holiday in this beautiful part of @eastcoasttasmania - it's basically paradise! Or, as @fle@fletchiephotos described it, "one of the most picturesque places I’ve been." BRB, quitting our job and moving to @tasmania. Lost in a forest somewhere in the @margaretriver region 🌲 These towering trees are karri trees, and you'll find them in the beautiful #BoranupForest in @westernaustralia. The forest is around 20 minutes' drive from the #MargaretRiver township, down the famously scenic Caves Road. There are indeed several caves along this road, which are open to the public for tours. If you've only got time for one, we'd recommend Lake Cave - the entrance is via a spectacular tree-lined doline, like a giant crater in the earth's surface. A moment of serenity in the bustling city of @visitmelbourne 🙌 @luk@lukesphotographymelbs made an early start to capture this stunning sunrise scene from Princes Bridge on #Melbourne's Yarra River. Although it's quite a busy city, an early morning walk along the Yarra is actually a pretty peaceful way to start a day of exploring in Melbourne - generally, the only people who'll be up and about are a few keen joggers and rowers on the river. So grab a coffee and your camera, you'll thank us later! Photo: @lukesphotographymelbs #seeaustralia #visitmelbourne #travel #explore #sunrise

We'll take one secret beach all to ourselves, please! This spot's called Lonely Beach, which is certainly fitting because it's rather remote, and pretty much deserted. You'll find it (although not very easily!) in East Arnhem Land, which is part of the @ausoutbacknt's beautiful @tourismtopend. Given this area is traditional Aboriginal land, the best way to access it is with a local guide from @lirrwi tours, who'll also give you an insight into the rich Aboriginal culture and history of this area.
