Thursday’s are my fave day of the week. For all kinds of reasons... In my work world it’s pay day and promotion day, so I get to spend it freaking out with my team that we make money by helping others and helping ourselves, and then celebrating all the rock stars on my team who are smashing goals and hitting milestones. ⁣ ⁣ And now, it’s also the day that we film and record episodes of @youcansipwithus!! Tonight we’ll be live on our IG channel at 7pm PST to record episode two! Plus, we’ve got an extra special guest on who slayyyyyyys the makeup game and is gonna teach us what we need to know about contouring and fake lashes! With of course your to-be-expected shenanigans! ⁣ ⁣ And this Thursday also comes with a manicure and eggnog latte... cause #tisthemfseason ⁣ ⁣ What are you loving about today?? Last night I went out for happy hour with a girlfriend. We had drinks, steak and mashed potatoes and cookies for dessert. So, in order to make up for it today, I did NOTHING different. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I got in my scheduled 20 minute workout today and that was it. You have to get out of the mentality that exercise is punishment for eating. You never have to double up your workouts or starve yourself too "make up" for enjoying yourself. Exercise is a celebration of what your body can do, not a punishment for what you ate. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It's perfectly ok to celebrate life and splurge, give yourself permission to do that. The quicker you can ditch the diet/deprivation mentality, the quicker you will see results. Remember: lead with love, make health your focus... the rest will take care of itself. ⁣⁣ ⁣ Day 10/40👊🏻

This is the life I worked so hard for, the one I sacrificed for, the one I was fighting for way back when I started this whole coaching thing and had NO idea how good life could be! And thank the universe I did, because this life is my favorite ❤️

One year ago today I was 35 weeks pregnant with our little Revie Cakes.⁣ ⁣ I remember breaking down coming out of the shower one time when I saw myself in the mirror. Pregnancy is beautiful, but it is also hard. Your body is going through a lot of changes quickly, and it can be hard to keep up. Then after giving birth I remember feeling scared that I might not ever FEEL like myself again. I also vainly worried I'd never look the same, but I was way more terrified to never feel at home in my body again. ⁣ ⁣ Mamas, I'm here to tell you, YOU WILL. ⁣ ⁣ Your pregnancy and postpartum journey is YOURS and yours alone. Don't let the world take that from you. I took my time to lose the weight. I didn't put pressure on myself to bounce back quick. But everyday that I showed up for me and my girl, I felt more and more at home in my body.⁣ ⁣ These days its so over-glorified to "get your body back" quickly after giving birth. People wearing that quick bounce back like a badge of honor. Its all over the magazines, its all over social media, hell, its all over my newsfeed by other fitness professionals celebrating their quick postpartum weight loss, or their lack of weight gain during pregnancy. ⁣ ⁣ The reality is, your body just did something INCREDIBLE. It made and delivered another freaking human being. Like a whole other person with a beating heart, and lungs, and vital organs, and finger and toes.. all of it. Losing the weight quickly after giving birth is what is glorified as amazing, when in reality the actual act of growing and delivering that healthy human is the victory!!! Everything else is just sprinkles on the sundae. ⁣ ⁣ So be patient with yourself. Don't beat yourself up about your "slow progress"... there are so many things that make you a wonderful human and amazing mama- and "getting your body back" quickly ain't one of them! ⁣
