The one thing I’ve missed the most while participating in #whole30 ? Honey. Honey in my tea, honey on biscuits, honey mustard dressing, honey sweetened cakes, and this honey drenched baklava.
What would be the hardest food for you to give up?
New recipe up on the blog tonight! These superfood Pecan Cups are naturally sweetened and full of toasted pecan goodness! They’re also #whole30 compliant because these days I’m not about to make something delicious if I can’t eat it 🙌🏻.
-made in partnership with @americanpecan .
Favorite nut. I like pecans maple-roasted for snacking. Can’t get enough!
What about you? What’s your favorite nut and way to eat them?
I need to bake something. Anything.
Avoiding grain is no mean feat - especially when you bake most days of the week.
New recipes coming soon so that I’ll stop using this platform as a place to whine 😳
Day 6 of Whole30 and all I have to say is I thought I was doing pretty good until I stumbled across this photo of banana cream pie.
Now all I feel like doing is 😭😭😭.
Pie, I love you. I’ll never forget you, no matter how far apart the mountains of protein, vegetables, crushed hopes and heart-wrenching restrictions keep us.
I can’t believe how good these truffles are! Instead of using heavy cream, I mixed my chocolate with @cho@chobani Plain Greek Yogurt and a dab of maple syrup and orange blossom water 🍊
They are somehow deep and rich, yet light and cooling at the same time and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to conventional truffles again!
Chocolate Orange Blossom Yogurt Truffles
*Makes 18 truffles
1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips(I use 60%)
3/4 cup @chobani Plain Greek Yogurt
1 teaspoon Orange Blossom Water
2 tablespoons Maple Syrup
Melt the chocolate over medium/low heat, stirring constantly.
Spoon melted chocolate into a bowl and quickly whisk in the yogurt, orange blossom water, and maple syrup until smooth mixture is formed. Place the mixture in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Add about 1/2 cup cocoa to a bowl. Remove chocolate mixture from the freezer and place scoops about 1-2 tablespoons in volume in to the cocoa powder. Toss the scoops in the powder and use your hands to roll into a ball. Roll each ball again in the cocoa powder and place on a plate. Once all of the chocolate mixture has been formed into balls, store them in a covered container in the fridge. Consume chilled - truffles will become quite soft at room temperature.
I’ve been dying to make a Lassi with fresh cranberries - A combination of @chobani Greek yogurt, cranberries, strawberries, and vanilla make for a smooth, yogurt drink with just the right amount of tang. Recipe below!
16 ounces Chobani Whole Milk Plain Greek Yogurt
2 cups Milk of choice
3/4 cup Cranberries(fresh or frozen)
3/4 cup Strawberries
1/3 cup Maple Syrup
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
Place all ingredients in a blender and process on high speed for 1-2 minutes, or until completely smooth. Taste and add more maple syrup if a sweeter drink is desired.
Pour into glasses and serve!
