The department of Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks has announced that it is recommending not to allow the hunting of grizzly bears in the southwest part of the state this year, but still retain its share of the discretionary mortality, per the agreement with the states of #Wyoming and #Idaho.-
This issue will be raised on Thursday of this week during the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission’s already scheduled meeting.-
Why Montana isn’t hunting grizzly bears? -
“Our focus, now that they are delisted, is managing these iconic species for long-term recovery and at the same time having the ability to respond to conflicts in the Yellowstone ecosystem,” FWP director, Martha Williams, who has consistently stated that Montana won’t be hunting grizzly bears, said in a statement. “We also are continuing to work hard at responding proactively to bear conflicts and educating people and communities in the grizzly country how to be bear aware.” 🙏💛🐻-

Turns out little Riley probably has some Border Collie in her as well, as to be expected after rescuing her from a little ranch town. It was a surprise as I’ve been watching her grow and I’m realizing now she’s exactly what I wanted and needed. I’ve never met a puppy this well behaved and I’m so fucking grateful for her to be in my life. I must have done something right to end up with such a sassy little princess.
P.S. this silver Larimar pendant was handmade by me and has a little snowflake of the back of it ❄️
If you make the things you don't know your friend, rather than the things you know, then you're always on a quest in a sense. It's a completely different way of looking at the world, others, and yourself.
