I didn't always. I had to make a decision that I was done with being stuck. Done with the excuses. Done with regret and shame. Done with feeling like a failure. Done with losing. .
I hate to lose. So I decided I was no longer WILLING to allow myself to be stuck where I was. You can make that decision. It is never too late for you to join me on this journey. It is the best decision I ever made to take my health and my life into my own hands and make the conscious decision daily to be better. .

After a weekend of no tracking + no lifting, I’m back on the gym grind 💪🏼😁
It’s a good feeling knowing that no matter how many days I take off when out of town or on a vacay, that I always jump right back into the routine once I’m home.
My habits + reasons for working out are much stronger than my excuses, but I haven’t always been that way 🙅🏻♀️ I made changes.
You are not fixed in a certain spot. You’re allowed to make big changes and start something new whenever you want. And you should!!! Cause life is about trying new things and growing.
A couple of my favorite mantras are feel the fear and do it anyway + progress over perfection 💯🙌🏼

Lifting is tough. There's no way in hell that you can achieve anything in life without putting in the hard heavy work. Do you really want it? Then go and get it!
Over the years of training, I realized that I needed to humble myself. Thinking that I'm up there with the strongest is much of a dream. .
There's so much more that I need to improve on but consistency in hard work and perseverance will get me there 5 years down the line! & Maybe by then will I have a chance to make a name for myself in this industry. Great news! Following timed nutrition today was WAY better than following it yesterday .
Even better - we could still [kind of] do Taco Tuesday 🌮 .
Since I eat my carbs in the morning (pre- and post-workout), tortillas weren’t part of my dinner .
Chicken, peppers, and homemade taco seasoning hit the spot without it though! .
Here’s hoping this new meal plan keeps getting better every day 🙌🏼
The girl who “never eats salad” ate a salad tonight. And it was super delicious! I know it looks plain, but I was satisfied with all the flavor in it!
We used a cup of chopped up lettuce, 1 tilapia fillet, and some meal plan approved thousand island dressing. YUM!!!!!
Legs from today! I always start legs with squats or deadlifts, sometimes add hip thrusts, and then do some different isolation work, conditioning, and plyos! Some exercises from today were:
- Kneel to squat- I alternated the leg that came up first on each set. .
- Jumping Bulgarian split squats- I prefer doing these off a bench rather than this box but I was too lazy to go back down to the weight room 🙃
- Duck walks - one of my new favorite exercises. Gets the heart rate up and really burns the glutes, especially if you hold a plate overhead!
Gister pittige 300tjes gelopen op de baan, vanavond een wat rustigere pyramideloop. Morgen een lekker hardlooprustdagje. Even de kuiten laten masseren want die krijgen nogal wat te voortduren met mij de laatste paar trainingen😁 naar een 10km toe trainen is weer eens wat anders als naar een halve marathon😏

Quick arm workout with my sick baby boy 😕 only running on a few hours of sleep but need to keep up my workouts to stay on track. Free weights for upper body are a great way to build muscle but not exhaust myself completely!
