After a BUSY weekend, it was tough for my whole family to get out of bed. Visiting with friends, seeing family, baseball, soccer, and working with my clients and coaches...we we’re all groggy getting up this morning. Itchy throats and stuffy noses have also entered our household. _ I got up and pressed play anyway because I didn’t want to deal with the regret all day. 60 minutes of a full body exercise was just what I needed to get my week started strong. The endorphins were high once I finished, and I felt accomplished! _ Best part about home fitness? You can literally just roll out of bed and workout in your jammies. I couldn’t even be bothered to put shoes on today. Do I have abs yet? 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️ #thebestareobsessed

Yeah legit we were pissed that we had to do 3 rounds of all these moves but instead of giving up we used that feeling to push PAST our zone. And boy did we HANDLE that work out! Day 8/80 ✅This was challenging mentally for me. The reps were shorter than last week, but there were 3 rounds instead of just ✌🏻. Joe brought Ryan down for the last round bc he had to get ready for work and it got me in a tizzy. Learning to go past self-hate and building new bridges in my mind. When I was diagnosed with BPD I was told there was no cure. There is no magic pill to balance the chemicals in my brain. I however can work on becoming a better version of myself. Work on controlling my emotions and silencing my negative feelings and thoughts. In my coach's test group, Autumn asked us to take a pic of ourselves at the 1 week mark😳 Like are serious??! I knew there would be changes after going a week with this timed nutrition-which was so needed 👌🏼 then the added longer and more challenging workouts 💪🏼😅 But I didn’t expect THIS much change in just 7 days 🙊🙊🙊 7 DAYS!!! That's it!!! And after today's workout makes 72 days left to GO!!!! 👏🏼🤜🏼🤛🏼 #its#ustthebeginning 🤙🏼 Soooo---- what I’m MOST EXCITED ABOUT is: ✊🏼How much more ⚡️ENERGY⚡️ I’ve had ALL WEEK minus Friday, that was my toughest detox day. ✊🏼I feel SO much more CLEAR HEADED!! One of the biggest things I notice when I fall off track with my eating is my HEAD feels like it’s in a CLOUD, and I get all foggy headed and feel tired ALL the time ☁️🤦🏻‍♀️ that feeling was GONE within 2 days and I def don’t miss it!! ✊🏼How MOTIVATED I am to stay on track, more so than I’ve ever been!!!! I’ve struggled with my mental health all of my life. I have always been a very anxious person, I worry a lot, I also have had bouts of depression, the worst time being after my cousin, DJ, died. When he died it took every bit of strength I had to get out of bed. I’ve been on antidepressants, anti anxiety meds, been to NUMEROUS counselors. It’s been a slow road of trial and error with me trying to figure out with medication and personal development how to keep my mind healthy. . I think the biggest thing to working on your mental health is actually admitting to yourself that your mind is not right, it can get sick just like any other part of your body…..This is what I find so tragic about the awareness of mental health, is the awareness that your mind can be ill or injured, just like any other part of your body. . Like all survivors of suicide, we often think about how we could have prevented the death of a loved one. There are many times I think maybe if DJ knew that almost everyone struggles at the age he died, maybe it wouldn’t of happened. Unfortunately, I can’t change the past but I can work on the right now! . Right now I am committed to keeping my brain healthy. Just like any other part of your body you can exercise your brain and strengthen it. I always tell my brain injury patients and families that the brain has plasticity! It can heal! It can reorganize itself by forming new connections, it just takes time and work. These are just some thoughts I had about my own personal development I have been working on recently. I have my little fit friend Home with me today since she has the day off of school. Just because it’s a change in the normal schedule doesn’t throw us off our normal morning ritual of working out tho! . . I love being able to get me workouts done no matter what! I just don’t want to schlep myself and my crap out on what was a rainy morning or dragging this sweet babe out bc lord knows that means at least an extra 20 minutes to get out of the house and at least 2 more bags! They are little yet require so much stuff! #thestruggleisreal . . I loved today’s workout even more bc I got to share it with Soph. She started off somewhere else but always end up finishing strong with me no matter what! And today’s workout was tough! But showing her we can do hard things makes me feel more accomplished than just completing the actual workout! Does that make sense?
