This is one of my favourite quotes by Friedrich Nietzsche. His quote is meant to imply that whatever we manage to live through, we are automatically stronger because of it.⠀
The interpretation I take on is that surviving strife builds strength, be it psychological or physical. However simply surviving a calamity doesn't make you superior to it. It is how you recover from it that decides whether you are strengthened or weakened by your experience - basically "sharpen the saw" as Stephen Convey would say.

Words I "often" need to remind myself of.
Be an impenetrable vault when it comes to your core... that which makes you feel, react, and respond. Don't forfiet your access by letting someone elses thoughts and actions disengage your security and planting a virus into your heart amd mind.
Secure yo'self. And keep it moving.
I have excuses down to an art form...not proud of it. Sometimes when I have something to do (workout, write an email, do laundry) my brain HOURS beforehand will start concocting elaborate reasons and excuses why I can't do it.
Hahaha one time, I actually got dressed, drove to the gym, SAT IN THE PARKING LOT, and decided to go home because I was 'too tired' from working on my computer all day to workout.
I would read all the personal development books trying to get rid of this habit.
I'd tell Kyle to hold me accountable (and then get mad when he held me accountable).
I put reminders in my phone.
I joined programs and downloaded apps.
But I still struggled! And still do sometimes.
I wish I could give you a big inspirational lesson or message here, but I can't. At the end of the day, you have to run through all your excuses and ask yourself if you'd rather listen to those OR make changes in your life.
So consider this your gentle reminder...overcome ONE excuse today, no matter what it is. I'm right there with you, so holler if you need encouragement!
To being brave,
Don’t get it twisted; YOU are not the product of your circumstances YOU are the product of your decisions. Shit happens, that’s life, but don’t ever forget the way you let things affect you is YOUR decision. Use the bad to fuel your fire and take everything as a learning experience to move forward and get better! You owe it to yourself to be the best you that you can be. 💖😌
Sometimes I have to remind myself that although I want to help all the people, I can't help those who don't want to help THEMSELVES. Some people would rather cling to their excuses and will even justify them and sometimes even go as far as start believing them, simply because they're not willing to get uncomfortable and take action. And that's NOT a reflection of YOU. That's simply their unwillingness to change. Sometimes people are just not ready and you can never, ever force someone to change. It doesn't work that way.🤷🏻♀️
So for now I will continue giving it my all in MY journey and pouring all I have to those who DO want my help. I truly believe we're all capable of remarkable things, but it takes a strong desire to not only WANT those things, but to act on them too. I've been there. I've been the person who didn't think change was possible. It is SO possible, but no one can want it more for you than YOU🖤
