Sorry for the weird post but... This is real, and it's happening to me now.
Hair loss, this is about the amount I'm losing everyday if not more.
The side effects of wls. Not everyone experiences it, we're all different. This is my experience.
I've had a few reach out to me and I thank you for the suggestions, I'll be trying a few of them.
Well see how much more it effects me emotionally, I didn't think I'd be so bothered by it. I figured it's fine my hair's thick enough I won't notice it. And it is just hair it will grow back. But its making me sad seeing clumps like this coming out after I wash my hair, brushing or styling it. It sucks.
But it is what it is, I will get through it one day at a time. .
I basically just eat protein... Food is not the same any more and it's super hard to explain but it's as if everthing that's good, is gross.... I have yet to find food that I have an appetite to eat, rather, I eat because I have too.
So I won an award about a year and a half ago at work and it came with this⌚️... I was so mad 😡 I could not fit it at all .... but today I put it on and it fits it’s not tight or nothing!!!! #nsv#wls#vsg#vsghappy#fossil
It's interesting to look at the scale and not be content with what you see, even when you used to be a 400lb morbidly obese man.
The first week of the challenge period has now passed with the weigh in coming to approximately 8lbs lost.
So, a few things here that have to be made clear:
1. My fitness level, muscle mass, physically demanding job and knowledge all allow this to happen easier without proper nutrition. Do not compare your loss to mine, losing 1 to 2lbs a week is more than amazing.
2. I'm pumped and didn't expect this number honestly. My nutrition has been mediocre at best. I would say that 2 out of the 7 days were on point, YET I never allowed myself to go off the handle OR discourage my workout routines. I will be meal prepping this week and making posts about my keto go to snacks.
3. I didn't weigh myself all week. This helped me stay on track from the highs and lows of the DREADED SCALE. Obsessing over the numbers can alter how you eat, how driven your workout is and just overall mood.
4. I never beat myself up with not being perfect. I kept battling.

Update since my surgery! Everything went great with my sleeve surgery and I’ve been recovering at home. I will be two weeks out this Tuesday! I had a pretty minimal amount of nausea, and a manageable amount of pain immediately after surgery, which was such a blessing. I was able to get up and start walking not long after surgery, and I’m increasing my walking activity daily. My energy is not quite back to normal (hence the slippers in the middle of the day haha) but I feel more and more like myself every day. Today I have basically no pain or nausea and I’m getting down my 60oz of water and 60g of liquid protein. The first few days at home I couldn’t get down a lot of fluids, and did get dehydrated. Two liters of IV fluids later I felt like a new woman, and I’ve done great ever since! Shared in my story but sometimes it's good to post it as well. When idk what I want to eat and I'm going to be staring in the fridge & pantry for a bit or if I'm cooking I try to quickly realize I should grab a 0sp snack to eat or drink while I cook or at least decide what I want. Saves me from eating my kids' oh so easy to reach goldfish or pretzels.
