Lies are damaging to any and all relationships. “Lying by omission” is still a lie and at that moment the foundation of trust is broken. The boundary line has been crossed. How can you manage your feelings after a lie has been revealed?
1. Take a step back to take care of yourself first with the goal of managing your thoughts and feelings.
2. Pay attention to your emotional triggers to minimize lashing out for all the people that have lied to you in the past.
3. Explore your options. Do you want to remain in the relationship? Is this a person that you have no choice but to work with? Evaluate your needs so that you can assertively communicate your needs when you are ready.
Lies are the #1 contributor to trust issues. We all know there are no guarantees and although it can be difficult to discern, you have to work with the information and resources you have at the time. Once you have more information, evaluate your thoughts and feelings then explore how you want to proceed with that person. You can recover emotionally.

Merry Monday, folks! I have to start this week off going to the doctor for my annual check up, which gives me massive amounts of anxiety. SO, I’m trying to keep my heart light this morning and not get sucked down the anxiety rabbit hole.
