Here is how I like to do the floors in #ConversionVan. First build a plywood template of the floor, mine are usually three separate pieces of 3/4 plywood. then use pocket holes to screw it together. Then lay your fav floor on top of the template. last trim the edges with a router. Perfect fitting floor every time. 👍🏽👊🏽💪🏽
When you find yourself bored with your life, completely uninterested in your day to day interactions, I hope you find the courage to make a change. Live creatively and do more than you ever thought you could. ❤️
I’ve always kept a lot of the details of our life and the way we live to myself, not out shame but out of fear that people won’t understand. Many people tend to think that we live this way out of necessity, that the state of our affairs drove us to make the choices we made. They think that we’re homeless, and in the classical sense, I suppose we are. But for us, what is so incredible about our lifestyle is being able to call places like this our home... Even if it’s just for the weekend. -Adam
There it is, our latest road trip video. This is just a preview, full video is on the website, link in profile. It was a great trip starting in the Netherlands and the destination was Spain. We visited great places and saw many friends, had some trouble on the way, but there are always people and garages near by who want to help. Back then we were 4 of us in a bus, but we can not wait to start making long road trips with the 5 of us in a bus and make another video. Who else here is travelling with kids?

The desert is a quiet place. Enjoying a warm evening watching the sun paint the desert as it falls behind the mountain range. The thing about van life is that it helps you slow down. To really think about if what you're currently doing is fueling your passion and purpose in life. Enjoying simple things can be fulfilling enough, where you aren't constantly on the hunt for whats next because you appreciate what you have right in front of you.
That's been the topic that comes up in my mind time and time again. I miss home, I miss my old life before I decided to live in a van. I miss being able to go to the same rock gym every day, I miss being able to call up my friends and hang out with them every weekend.
But, when i think back to my old life at home. I remember craving more adventure, travel, and experiences. The biggest lesson i've learned from all of this is the grass isn't greener and slowing down to feel moments instead of rushing to the next is the best way to truly find happiness.

Once up on a time we went on a family adventure. All four of us in an old Volkswagen camper van from Amsterdam to Barcelona. @5ofusinabus An epic road trip through Europe. We had a wonderful journey, met amazing people, and saw beautiful new places. This is what #vanlife is all about! To us, it's a bonding experience and making memories to last a lifetime!

This book has guided me through all of the darkest times of my life. Drug addiction. Heartbreak. Physically and mentally abusive relationships. Homelessness. Rape. Incarceration. Self loathing.
When I was utterly and absolutely alone, I realized that proclamation in itself was a lie because I was reading my own thoughts translated through the pages of Milk and Honey. I sat in dirty jail cells for over a year with my tattered copy of the soft black book @rupikaur_ poured her soul into so that I might find my way... and I did. Her gift of verbalizing every emotion and feeling I've experienced, yet never was able to cohesively form into words of my own; made me come to the realization that I'm not the only one. It helped me find strength in me, which was completely foreign to me at the time. Because if the words in these pages, I learned to find the path to love myself again and thay it's okay to feel what I feel; grief, heartbreak, happiness, sorrow, joy, regret, love... and everything inbetween. There is a time and a season for everything.
Rupi Kaur has beared herself and her heart in the simplest, purest of ways through her writing. And I cannot thank her enough. Every single day, I flip through these pages, so that I remember and know that healing takes time. Since day one, I've already had everything I need within me. We all do. It just took one very brave and beautifully kind woman to help me truly believe that.
So now as I open a new chapter of my life, it is Milk and Honey that will be by my side on all my travels and endeavors. 🌻🍯🐝
