It’s only the middle of February and this I already my fourth trip away from home this year. Keeping your routine while traveling is super hard. In the past I let myself a few days off running when I was away from home, but I’m trying very hard this year to avoid slacking off. To give you an idea of just how hard…⠀
I did 13 miles over two days in sub 15 deg F weather in Minneapolis. The weather was nice and sunny, with little wind… I was incredibly fortunate for that weather. I had to put on 3 layers both on the top and the bottom, and run at a faster clip to maintain a higher heartbeat. More activity = more warmth. It wasn't ideal, for I prefer much slower paces for my training runs, but I got out and got it done. I got to know the neighborhoods around Chanhassen really well in the process. ⠀
My idol @sagecanaday has said he is an #anysurfaceanydistance runner. My goal is to be an #unc#unconditional runner – No matter the weather, I will get a few miles under my belt, whether it is outside or if I have to subject myself to the dreadmill.⠀

Smudged, mediated and did some self reflection before heading to work with my youth for 12hrs. Its going to be a great day I can feel it. Brought my journal so I can write to my father, I've been missing him everyday.

Stick a fork in me because I am DONE! This run started out as me hoping for 8 miles, but hope doesn’t get you far so then I just focused on one mile at a time. Next thing I knew, I hit double digits. At that point, I just sucked it up to finish a #halfmarathon. Now I can’t decide if I want to eat everything in sight or take a nap. 😜😂
Work hard, play harder is my motto. Go after what you want, our time here is short so we have to make the most of it and try to do one thing everyday that scares us. It’s the only way we grow, stepping outside of our comfort zone. Honestly, this is the first time I’ve come to Vegas and feel great, a year ago I would have not posted these full figure shots but, I’m excited at the progress I’ve made in just 10 months. Here is to the next 10... #staymotivated
So my friend told me to try wearing a hoodie when I walk/jog so that I’ll sweat more... and what I’m realizing is that I DON’T NEED TO SWEAT MORE! Never again hahah. But at least I got my third #LISS done for the week. Hasn’t been easy since bouncing back from the flu but I’m still trying my best 💪🏼 happy Sunday ☀️
My face when they say:
- Don’t eat carbs after 6 pm or you’ll get fat.
- Muscles will turn into body fat when you stop training.
- Carbs make you FAT.
- Do high reps for shredding “toning”.
- Squats are bad for your knees.
- Knees shouldn’t pass the toes when squatting.
- Lifting belt is a must to protect your back.
- Women shouldn’t lift weights because they’ll look bulky.
- No pain no gain. - Pizza and burgers are “Un-Healthy” (any kind of food labeling is stupid TBH)
- Eating “UnHealthy” food will make you fat.
- Eating “Healthy/Clean” will not make you fat. (“Healthy or not” Calories are calories). - Supplements are a must to build your body.
