You don't know what you don't know, but at least you know you don't know.
I used to think people in conferences who stand up and take the mic and talk about themselves and their business to seek investment/connection/advice were so rude, pompous and self involved.
Like why be so extra! Do you guys get what I mean? How do you guys feel about it?
I was the one who was self involved actually. Tearing people down for being "extra" because I was too insecure to be bold enough myself. I secretly wanted to make those connections!!!!!
Now I am that person who stands up and promotes me and my business..although I still get the sweaty palms...I gulp and my heart races, I just look ahead and not around me. I begin to open my mouth to utter these words....
"Hi I am Karen and I am"....
Who are you tearing down because of your own fears?

Bend it like this babe. Sending good vibes to all the feminists out there of all genders making noise at the women’s march today! 💓
Of all the sights I saw in Iran, exploring the abandoned village of Kharanaq was one of the most fun ways to spend a couple of hours. It's possible to walk on ever level of this village, including the rooftops and through the rooms. It couldn't help but bring out the little kid in everyone in my group! Where's one of your favorite places to explore?
Find me on the beaches of the world... _ What would you do if this could be your office view everyday? _ What would you say if I said it's mine? _ If you want to make the beaches of the world your office, click the link in my bio :)
A little throwback to time spent with some amazing biz friends at @malvernbuttery in the Philly 'burbs. I've got no excuse for not going back there.... I'm thinking a cafe work day is in order. Amazing coffee shops like this are my love language. 🍵🙆
One minute I’m feeling the ineffable volume of two thousand years of prayer and the next Im stuffing my face full of Syrian food that I can’t pronounce. Jerusalem, I love you 💕
Of all of the places I've traveled so far, Iran is one of the countries that differed most from the perceptions I have been exposed to throughout my life. I'm glad I had the chance to experience the country first hand in 2017!
Missing this, missing you. // Also, my favorite singer (@george_ezra) has a new single out, announced his sophomore album, and announced his 2018 world tour. I am so excited to hopefully see him perform again! I’m already in love with the new songs 😍
The views from above Atlanta, GA! ✈ I almost always take a window seat when I'm flying. I like to look out the window, plus I can usually lean my head against the wall. So some of you may have seen my new color palette from my IG stories. I am super excited to change my palette and I'm excited to post pictures. Sure, I don't really have any new adventures coming up so having to reuse some older photos but that's totally okay. I'm going to try to get creative with my photos so you won't have to see the same old photos twice.
We happened to be visiting during the George Town Festival and saw a textile exhibit where native women were showcasing the process of creating the Ikat fabrics that are customary in Borneo, Malaysia. We’ve both had careers in design and are intrigued to learn about textiles, costume, and fashion history. 📷: @qrajk
Oh Iran... How I miss you! Iran was definitely my most anticipated 2017 trip, and it didn't disappoint! I can't wait to go back someday and hope that I'll be able to do so without a tour so I can stay even longer.
I jumped on this Motorbike felt so liberated!
As soon as I hopped off my leg touched the exhaust and I screamed.
One of the guys said;
"Oh sorry wai....let me make a herbal solution for you"...
My eyes 🙄😐 i thought this is it...this is the juju they warned me about. Haha...It was just nettle solution lemon and water!
It certainly reduced the swealing!!!
