I can't emphasise enough the importance of food selection and variety in your diet 💯 A lot of people go on a diet restricting themselves of foods they enjoy or even eat foods they don't particularly like 🤔 Weight loss/gain isn't rocket science. It's simply "Calories in Vs Calories out" ⬆️⬇️ Eat more than you expend = Gain, Eat less than you expend = Loss 😌 Therefore food selection doesn't have to be restrictive. Pick foods you enjoy and foods you digest well. After all you aren't necessarily what you eat, but what you can absorb 😉 If you're eating foods that don't agree with you/don't digest well you're only causing further inflammation, bloat, water retention and a whole host of nasty symptoms you don't want ❌ Personally I think the most important thing is to have a setup which is sustainable and not one you're likely to crave other food, binge eat or feel guilty for eating something you enjoy. Back to work! Learned pretty quick that if I wanna keep on competing I got some shit to work on 😂 My squat, stocky, lil powerlifter ass needs to work on them wings and shoulders... probably some ab stuff too 🙄 My favorite....
