I am currently educating the Penn State York campus about gender roles (masculine vs feminine). Society always decides who can cry, who can work, who makes more, etc. It's time for society to learn that masculine and feminine are a spectrum. Why is it that men who act "girly" are automatically gay? Why is it okay for women to dress boyish, but only be considered a tomboy and not a lesbian? Why is pink associated with being female and blue with being male? These are the "roles" we debunk. Humans are complex and never belong in one little category.
