It's pretty wet here but it's the perfect weaving weather, so I'm happy 💗
Remember this one?
I posted this 15 Nov last year and was very excited to start a new project just for me.
However it's been two months and I've not moved any further on it, in fact I've gone backwards, it's currently just a warped loom 😁
I've got so many NEW ideas and NEW things I want to make and not enough time/energy to do them by the end of the day.
So NEW way of doing things for me...do my NEW projects first thing in the morning before I start my other work...even if it's just an hour a day it will be more progress than its getting now.
Anyone else have this scenario or any tips to get the things you want to make done?
Do you maybe set aside one day a week for new work or to just play? Or do you do a bit every day?
Would love to hear from you 💗
No, that’s not right. In some way, I’ve been thinking of you. Even though I’m not there and you’re not here, somehow, you’ve traveled with me. Seen or heard or somebody else’s gesture. . . and I care enough to let you know. To put it down on paper and play material telephone. To give you the same feeling. Wherever you might be; part of you is with me. Tell me, do you feel like you’ve lost anything recently?
Looking down the front beam of the loom, the texture becomes even more apparent. Yesterday it actually stopped raining for most of the march here in Seattle, but the rain is back today... cocooning indoors with my cozy work today... ☺️
Which is your favourite?! Let me know in the comments below!
I'm waiting for a bead delivery to arrive, so in the meantime I've been sampling some poms to make into patches 👀
The first has long and short cotton with milky glass beads on top, the second gazillions of french knots, and the third couched cotton thread! All further embellished with antique silks, crystals and precious glass beads 💖
