Couldn't agree more. Every women has a story about sexual harassment. These people need to be called out. #starttheconversation #letstalk #sexualharassment

#MeToo No 19 year old girl should be afraid to receive help. She shouldn’t have to wonder if people are going to shame her or blame her. Every Woman, Girl, Man or Boy should have the comfort in knowing that they can tell someone and be BELIEVED, be loved and be safe. So like I said no 19 year old girl should ever feel like they should hide away the feelings of discomfort, sadness, hurt or fear. I am so proud of all you who have shown such courage in your #metoo posts. I want you to know that I am a safe place and am always here to talk. #rapeculture #nomeansno #harveyweinstein #sexualassault #notaskingforit #endvictimblaming #endrapeculture #dispelrapemyths #speakout #starttheconversation #changetheculture #consentmatters #onlyyesmeansyes

Because sexual harrassment and sexual assault is too common - It's a cultural crisis. It has become so common, it's almost unrecognizable when it happens. I wasn't aware when it happened to me last week, last year, when I was 18, 15, 11, or 6. . . "Was I really sexually harassed? Was I sexually assaulted? It wasn't rape so it doesn't count." We often tell ourselves "no", because we aren't informed of the technicalities of sexual harassment and sexual assault. In fact, it's clear we aren't having these conversations at all that so many incidents can go unmentioned - that feeling uncomfortable in the workplace isn't something I should endure, that sexual assault includes more than rape, that just because he was my boyfriend/friend doesn't mean he wasn't violating me. . . Why didn't I know? Why didn't he know? Why is it that I'm 23 years old and I didn't understand sexual assault and sexual harassment until just now, that before I tolerated it because I thought I was supposed to, that it was inevitable? I'm enraged by this reality. The Harvey Weinstein accusations sparked this conversation, but it can't end with this incident. I can't help but feel that had I - we and they - been properly educated and had these conversations from a young age, could all of it been avoided? It's a collective issue, not just a man's responsibility to know. We all need to be aware and work together to change the way sexualization is understood and received. #metoo #notokay #starttheconversation

Safety and informed consent seem to have been conversations reserved just for girls for too long! Boys need to know consent is more than a sign to be interpreted #starttheconversation #themoreyouknow #breakthesilence

It's the 10 year anniversary of the National Cervical Cancer Awareness Week so we thought it would be important to hear from the organization who made this awareness week a reality -- FMWC! . . .
