He, she, it knows my heart and is showing me to get where I'm going I have to change. My ma always said I can't choose family, but I can always choose how to react and where to spend my time. I'm in the stage of "No". No more this and no more that. I feel like im at a peak and it's a long way down now. Its supposed to be fun, fast and full of energy. But, i feel like im on the edge counting down like I used to do when I #doubledutch and I'm afraid. Afraid to let go of everything and go for it. I feel like I was influenced to be this strong person, and now, at this peak, I experienced the irony of being weak in my strength and strengthened through my weakness. From where I'm standing, it's beautiful, but there's so much room for error and opportunity, feeling so open and vulnerable. The things I seek this society doesnt readily offer. So I'm creating this life I seek, this journey towards peace, and it has required me to call out my inner hurts. I had to get away from myself and everyone else to find myself, to hear me. Self-awareness is a never ending journey of truths and lessons. I don't often go for massages, but I recently had one during a fab stay at a health spa for my friend Alice's hen weekend. Sometimes you'll have days where you don't think you can face the next feed. You've championed that next feed. You didn't run away. You made it. You made it today and you'll make it every day after this. Maybe it won't always feel like it was your best day. But you're doing it, and you're doing it amazingly because no one is better suited to care for your baby than YOU. . . Or maybe you feel like you're totally nailing it. Maybe motherhood feels like you've finally found your place in the world. Maybe your body is desperate for a nap but you're so high on endorphines you barely notice the tired. So I thought I'd show you my stack of journals. On the top (green) I have my gratitude journal where I write my daily dose of gratitude and intentions. Next (purple) have my art journal this is my colourful painting/scrapbook type journal, the one for creative play. Then I have my bullet journal (patchwork with red green white and pink) which I use for setting goals, writing lists and self development practises. And finally on the bottom I have my sketch book this is for my doodles and illustrations which I mostly use during my idle time at work. I always come across hearts in nature, I usually see this as a message from nature that I am loved which has been a gentle reminder in times when I have felt so alone. Today the heart reflects a new message to me, I AM LOVE. I feel so proud of myself right now, I have dived deep into the darkness this year, swimming through pain, anger, grief. I choose to feel these things buried deep within so that I can too feel this love. This love is all there is and as it expands I wonder where does it lead me too?
