This mobility exercise doesn't get much publicity. This exercise will give you a good stretch in your back and best of fall, feels really good. All you need is a flat bench and a weight. 1) Grab a weight and put your elbows on the flat bench at around shoulder width. 2) After lowering your head you have two options. You can move the weight back and forth or keep the weight on your back and mobilize your spine. A lack of mobility in your lats and triceps will push your elbows out wider, so try to maintain the width you started with. Focus on bending and straightening the mid back. A little flashback to last year 🌞. I am constantly changing my workout routine based on what’s going on in my life, my current goals, and current exercise level. I’ve realized more and more how essential posture really is. Because of how I used to work out a few years back (tons of plyo, cardio, pushups), my chest tightened up and the muscles surrounding my shoulder blades haven’t been able to support me. This leads to a poor posture and instability in the upper body. This has led to so many problems with small injuries preventing me from working out as much as I’d like. As much as I’m striving to push forward and become stronger, I have to take two steps back and correct my foundation. Sometimes it’s hard to self assess and just be patient. I’ll be posting some exercises I’m doing to correct a posture that tends to have protracted shoulders. This is a super common posture, most likely due to hunching over our computers and books. The next steps are to open up the chest through stretching and to strength the back. I hope this will also help others who have the same problem! Stay tuned ✌️

It's really interesting after putting on some muscle and improving my posture, I can really see my body imbalances. Like one of my shoulders is higher then the other. Lol, I figured I would put up an inspirational quote as a tribute to the heads of this company. Don't get me wrong guys, I ocassionally (very occasionally) take supplements, so it's not all bad. Truth is that your body can produce all the substances it needs in its own with a high mitochondrial capacity, a physiology that understands homeostasis (not just when u meditate either), a structure that relates well with gravity, and a relevant understanding of nutrition. This is why my body is not asking for TRT in my mid 30s. Puns absolutely intended. Supplement profits are an immediate go to for charlatans. You have to continuously buy this product to function at a suboptimal level. Great business model if you have a business that feeds on idiot masses of people who are desperate to buy into anything that gets them approval from society. Inevitably, the use of something like TRT becomes a natural progression. Not for me. Nature has a map. Sleigh Bells and Bows! 🔹Bowspring Challenge Day 5🔹 Today we are working with 'Standing Open Leg Pose' @mikajoy123 is showing seed hand to knee- option to use a prop for balance such as the counter or a barre. @akschachtel is showing open leg with hand catching the back of the thigh with optional extension to the side. It is super helpful to find a counter balance here- thigh pulls heavy into hand so that the arm pulls straight while the belly bows forward. Final option is by me! Hand to paw- with extension. Option to play with some extended leg rebounds! Flying -  is the word I have chosen. Because when I am teaching my students and we move into open leg pose I joke to them that they're flying... because it kind of does feel like you might just superman / superwoman yourself into the sky. A pose fit for power and expansiveness... open belly... lengthened limbs... engaged... counter balancing all over the place. 💓 From standing open leg pose (right leg out)- Dig drag right foot (dig to send hips back, drag to engage posterior chain of leg, hero foot to maintain engagement), lift with hero'd ankle. Open the belly- bowing forward and to the left. Lift the chin, open throat. Keep hips moving back and left leg bent, paw rooting down. Left hand extends forward in seed hand to the left. Narrow right knee toward the ground to open the pelvic floor, right hand to the top of right knee- hand pushes into knee, knee back into hand- use this to open the belly some more. Take right hand/arm to the inseam of right leg- keep the knee narrow and forward, catch pad (hand) to paw. Paw presses into pad, extend leg out to the side, keeping hips moving back, rooting through the left paw, engaging into both glutes.
