READ 👇🏻 and SWIPE 👈🏻 to learn about Parkinson’s Disease and why I consider my client, Kim Thompson, to be one of the strongest women I know!
Parkinson’s Disease is a neurodegenerative disorder caused by a lack of dopamine within the brain which leads to impaired movement, balance, and overall stiffness in the body. When Kim was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease roughly 9 months ago, her and her husband Mark decided they were going to do whatever it took to tackle this thing head on. They discovered that EXERCISE has a bigger impact on slowing down the the disease than any medication or treatment that exists. As her trainer, I will continue to do my best to push her both physically and mentally to allow her to live as independently as possible for many years to come! 💪🏻😊

Did you know McDonalds serves breakfast all day! Ok ok not my favorite place to go but today after spending 3 hours at the bank dealing with account issues my hanger was about to get the best of me! I had to decide......punch someone In the face or make the best decision I could. So egg white delight it was. Though being locked behind bars almost seems like a break right now. I kid I kid! Here are the macros 32c, 7f, 18 protein! Not bad. Better than most my bars. PS I resisted the shamrock shake urge because I’m a macro counter that didn’t fit today. So what did I give up in a drive thru meal? Sodium! 800 milligrams but guess what all my other macros came from super low sodium choices and I met my macros. The fact is weight loss boils down to a calorie deficit. So if you meet your macros find the best choices you can to hit them even in hectic situations .Now all you “clean eaters” come at me bro! It’s been that kind of day! #iifym#eatforapurpose#countyourmacros#eldercareistough#parkinsonsdisease

One of my hero’s from my Younger days popped in for a spot of lunch today. Mike Read is walking the Thames and raising money for Parkinson’s Uk. His friend and another of my favourites from my days as a radio 1 listener, David “Kid”Jenson was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s. My mum had Parkinson’s and it is such a debilitating disease. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. - Leo Buscaglia
