The pallof hold.
An exercise I wish I'd known about before my training days.
An excellent exercise for core stability.
I have used a toner band here but you can also use a cable pulley machine, just make sure you don't set the resistance too high to compromise good form. -stand with feet parallel, hip width apart and hold the cable in front of your chest. -whilst maintaining this position; keeping your hips square and shoulders down extend your arms away from your chest. -I usually hold the position for up to 30 seconds each side.
There are tonnes of variations of this exercise including presses, rotations and different stances.
