Every single time I make crispy kale in the oven I forget about it until it’s no longer edible. Every. Time. Tonight was no different, however we were RIGHT on the line and it wasn’t bad, but did kind of crumble at the touch🤦🏻‍♀️ . So let me talk about the onions RQ. I made this dressing the other day and it is so. good. This morning i decided to chop up some red onion and let them marinate in the dressing all day, inspired by the kitchen magician herself @nocrumbsleft (ILY). See below for dressing recipe 👇🏻 . In typical Megan fashion, I DID NOT MEASURE! Just need to say that before I start: Extra virgin olive oil - let’s say 2 parts Apple cider vinegar - let’s say 1 part Juice of 1 medium lemon Spicy brown mustard - like a good long squeeze of the bottle Coconut nectar - a dollop Seasoned with salt and pepper Mix it up and then just guzzle. . Ok so back to the onions. They tasted delicious after marinating in that all day and they really made this dish, unlike the egg that just COULD NOT HANG TONIGHT! Day 3 of fasting. Today was only water + salt and one cup of tea. I must admit I miss my #bulletproofcoffee This is the first time in almost 5 years that a didn’t have my fat coffee ☕️. But of course it always seems impossible until is done. I look forward to see how day 2 of total water fast and day 4 of overall fast will be. I’ll post again tomorrow.

Happy with training yesterday as I managed a PB on chest press and today was another good session training back. K-I-S-S normally stands for “Keep it simple, sweetie!”, but ***I*** like to think of it as “Keto It Simple, Sweetheart” instead! Cooking low carb does not have to be complicated at all. This baby bok choy was dipped in salted boiling water (that’s called blanching for the non-chefs/cooks among us!) after the leaves were separated, drained, and then sautéed with a little fresh minced garlic and olive oil.  It could not have been more exquisite and the process took less than 10 minutes to feed 8 people a beautiful, satisfying, nutritious dish. My favourite meals are rather simple and traditional in flavours. You can never go wrong with an herb roasted chicken thigh, arugula salad and squash/carrot hash. So delicious and filling! The SIBO diet is really starting to grow on me. I’ve been at it since August and I’m still hanging in there. The key to not giving up is that stay nourished and give your body what it needs. For me, that’s protein, greens and a bit of starch from tolerable root veggies and squashes. What’s your fave SIBO friendly meal?

Hi! It’s Teri here from @nocrumbsleft, with MY PEPPER STEAK SALAD AND CREAMY HORSERADISH DRESSING! I’m crazy about an entrée salad. This steak salad is a crowd pleaser for sure. Here I have coated the outside with freshly ground black pepper but leave it off if you prefer. The Creamy Horseradish Dressing is another one of my New @Whole30 Magic Elixirs and is perfect as a dressing or served on the side as a dipping sauce with vegetables. Gooey eggs, pepperoncini, and avocado take it to the next level. Plus, of course, my Marinated Onions. And don’t worry, I’ll be putting the step-by-step stories up before you know it. #### For the Creamy Horseradish Dressing: 1 cup Whole30 compliant Mayo ¼ cup grated horseradish 1 tsp Whole30 compliant Dijon mustard 1 tsp red wine vinegar ½ tsp salt ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper 2 Tbsps chives # For the Salad: 1 Bone-in Ribeye Steak Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper 1 Tbsps extra-virgin olive oil Baby Lettuces Soft boiled eggs, cut in half Cherry tomatoes, sliced Cucumbers, sliced Hearts of palm, sliced Nicoise olives Radishes, sliced Avocado, cut into chunks Pepperoncinis, sliced Marinated Red Onions # 1. Preheat the oven to 400F. 2. Make the dressing by blending all ingredients together in a food processor. 3. Salt the steak thoroughly. Then, using a lot of ground black pepper, thoroughly coat the steak, pressing the pepper down into the steak. 4. In an oven-safe sauté pan, sear all sides of the steak. Begin by searing the top of the steak on the stovetop for 4 minutes. Then flip it over and sear the back for 4 more minutes. Using tongs to hold the steak, sear the bone side for 1 minute and then flip and sear the opposite edge for 1 minute. Lay the steak flat in the pan and place in the oven. Cook in the oven for 10 minutes. When done, remove and place on a board to rest for 10 minutes. 5. Assemble your salad: first place lettuce on a platter, sprinkle with salt, and drizzle with Marinated Onion oil. Feeling under the weather today -- headache upon waking up, went to work, where I spend 8h outside in our now negative temperatures, started having back pains in the middle of my shift and then got suuuper lethargic.. Needless to say, I got home, hot shower, some softboiled eggs for a late snack/lunch and hit the bed, going to play some #videogames and enjoy my #organic #eucalyptus #essentialoils that I picked up from @akinsnatural a few weeks ago, it was pricey but this size will last months even with daily use. Double lifetime PR with secret ending. . 1.70x bodyweight squat with unimpeachable depth. 1.165x bench with shrinking pectoralis (see my recent progress pic for the sad reality). . Sixth week of a diet on aggressive calorie restriction and <20g carbs daily. . This extends what is by far my longest powerlifting winning streak since starting training eight years ago. . The challenge for you (and me) is to understand cause and effect to advance our goals further! . The winning method is 1) pound of raw liver 4-5 times a week, 2) heavy rucking, 3) dancing, stretching and drilling weapons in a deep squat position, 4) a couple heavy singles on the big three twice a week. . We heard from one wag who said that all this progress would be *even better* with carbs. . We tried that, it didn’t work. . He suggests we try it again. . Unfalsifiable propositions are religion, not science, and boy did he send us numerous citations from his holy books, and was quite affronted by our continued heresy. .
