I'm the type of person that is driven more by the needs of others than the needs of myself. This means that I can end up so deep in a list of tasks for others that I don't have the space to listen to my inner voice. Now at first this is fine, because serving others brings me great joy, which keeps me motivated and moving forward. But we can only ignore that voice for so long before the whisper switches to a scream and then burnout happens. Even though it is not in my nature to do this, I have started scheduling and planning activities (or lack of activities) that give me this space to listen. I have had to sell this to myself as I will be better for others if I am better to myself. In the book I am currently reading by @gretchenrubin I am identifying that this is because my tendency is to be an obliged and I al much more motivated by external expectations than internal ones. Unsurprisingly of the 4 tendencies she talks about this is the most common one and is definitely the one I see the most in my work. This comes in at 90grams of protein, 110 grams of carbs, 17grams of fat and 35 grams of sugars (with 32.5 coming from the banana) and standing at a whooping 960cals . This is good when you compare it to a named brand mass gainer that has similar nutritionals ( when mixed with water), you have to take in twice the volume and there are so many chemicals and powders on the labels you don’t even know where their nutritional values come from .
