Leg day at the gym...can already tell I’m going to be so sore 😅 warped the day up with stretching and some foam rolling. Shout out to the awesome fluorescent lighting 😂 had to throw that last picture in there cause addy wanted to show off the booty gains too 🐶 thanks @desb___ for the 8 weeks of killer workouts! The challenge is almost up, and while I’m not where I wanted to be, I know I’ll get there if I stay consistent. Just have to trust the process. At this point my physical gains are not that astronomical; my mental gains though are everything I had hoped for. Instead of focusing on and loving how I look, I’m loving everything my body is capable of now.

1️⃣ Pull ups 4xMax reps (the final two sets I used a band for assistance
2️⃣ Barbell row 4x8-10 hold on the last rep
3️⃣ RG pull down 4x10 super set with straight arm pull down 4x10
4️⃣ Wide grip seated row 4x10
5️⃣ Rack pulls 4x10
Don’t neglect to warm up !! A proper warm up helps prevent injury. If you are unsure how to warm up for you lift slide into those DMs and I will hook it up.

Ladies, make sure you're training your chest still! It's one of the major muscle groups, and training will help to develop upper body strength and prevent any muscle imbalances. Also, who doesn't want to make the girls stay perky💃✌
I like to start off with an incline movement, it feels better on my shoulders than if I go straight to flat bench. Barbell movements are easy to use with progressive overload, and to ensure you are gaining strength and muscle 💪💪💪 The workout is below ⬇
1. Incline bench 4x8-10
2a. Pec Deck fly 4x10-12
2b. Dumbbell lateral raise 4x15
3. Flat iso press 4x8-10
4a. Plate front raise 4x10-12
4b. Rear delt fly 4x12-15
5. Cable lateral raise 4x10-12
6. Barbell upright row 4x15
OK - so I totally get that this could be a super weird obsession for some of you. But I’m totally in love with the extra striations around my shins.🤩 I work my rear off every single day to push myself to be better than the woman I was yesterday so you best believe I’m gonna love the heck out of my body. & for me, this is a HUGE victory knowing I used to be the girl who didn’t know how to accept compliments and would always find something wrong with myself. ✨ Fun fact ✨ Around Christmas time I bought myself 2 crop tops. This is actually VERY unusual because I do NOT do crop tops 🙅 I would never even CONSIDER buying them because I was too self conscious of the extra fluff I once had 🙈

The thing I wanted most from this program was STRENGTH. Yes, the physical kind 💪 but also the mental kind 🙇 To feel comfortable and confident in my own skin... the strength to say no to unhealthy habits...

This week has been so busy and stressful with uni👩🏻⚕️ and I’m feeling soooo tired right now😴
Anyways on the Gym side of life (my love life) it’s been awesome😍 I made sure I followed my workouts properly and tried to increase weights gradually. My training has been on point👌🏽🎉 There were days when I was like fk it who wants to even go to the gym🤷🏽♀️ but I dragged myself out of bed super early mornings and made sure I finish my workout and then go to Uni😏 I really can’t believe such a lazy laid back person like me woke up 5.30 in the morning and headed straight to the gym...I’ve never been so dedicated in my life doing anything!!!!😂 I am just soooo happy with myself and for a change my life is so busy😛
Btw I’ve turned out to be a nerd at gym and school both🤓😂
During this recovery, strengthening the hips and glutes is the goal. Spoke with coach @simmons_strength & we’re giving sumo a(nother) try since it’s light weight anyways and my hips feel good. So many different cues running through my head, and I was trying to train which muscles to activate before each pull. This is 120# & I did like 5 billion singles tonight. Thank you coach, @xavier_romeroelitepl & @dean.rosete for all the tips! I’m curious to see where this goes and I hope my hips hold up 🙏🏽
We do our best to be strong, to always put others first, to be a good example... but sometimes a mother just loses her $h!T 🤪
It was time for an oil change and I made
an appointment, figured I wouldn’t be there
too long so I took my daughter with me. Well it ended up taking 2 hours and I also requested new windshield wipers because there was a spot right in my line of vision kept getting missed and I thought replacing them would fix that issue. It just so happens that it’s raining in NY today and when I got in the car the spot was still there 😤
I was so aggravated I demanded to speak with the manager which I’ve never done 😬
I just felt like I needed to resolve the issue before going home and letting my frustrations get the best of me and taking them out on my family like I’ve done in the past.
The manager and service guys tried to resolve the problem and I’ll have to go back to see what the real issue is but I learned a few things today.
In my moment of mental weakness I found strength to stand up for myself and decided to find a resolution instead of just walking away like I would’ve in the past.
Patience is an area I need to focus on improving in my life ... I’ve gotten better but I have a lot of work to do.
Kids definitely pay attention so be mindful... my daughter heard me complaining to my husband on my phone before going back into the dealership and how upset I was. When we got home she asked “mama, are you not nervous anymore? That wasn’t very nice” 🤦🏼♀️🤣
