“Detoxification, relaxation, pain relief, weight loss, improved circulation, skin purification are some of the great benefits of using a Inferred Sauna. Highly Recommend” - @caradee_kuusik .
Sweating is one of the body’s most natural ways to eliminate toxins, making it a crucial part of detoxification. When compared to traditional Swedish saunas, infrared saunas allow you to eliminate about seven times more toxins.
Infrared sauna therapy promotes relaxation by helping to balance your body’s level of cortisol, your body’s primary stress hormone. The heat generated by the sauna will also help to relax muscles and relieve tension throughout the body, allowing you to relax and de-stress.
3. Pain Relief
If you suffer from muscle aches or joint pain, infrared saunas can relieve this form of inflammation by increasing circulation and relaxing your muscles.
4. Weight Loss
The heat generated by an infrared sauna will cause your core temperature to increase, which can also lead to an increased heart rate — the same increase in heart rate that you experience when exercising. When your body has to work harder to lower your core temperature or keep up with an increased heart rate, your body will burn more calories, resulting in weight loss. An article, titled Effect of Sweating, in the Journal of the American Medical Association concluded that a 30-minute infrared sauna session could burn roughly 600 calories.
5. Improved Circulation
As the heat from infrared saunas increases your core body temperature, your circulation will increase along with it. Consistent infrared sauna sessions, especially in the middle-infrared level, can stimulate blood flow, improve muscle recovery, and decrease pain and inflammation after intense exercise.
6. Skin Purification
Infrared sauna technology can help purify your skin by eliminating toxins from your pores and increasing circulation, resulting in clearer, softer, and healthier-looking skin.
With our proven pre-intra-post sauna protocols I can assure the above benefits will be achieved with the direct emphasis on detoxification.

Not that it’s about winning or losing... but we chose our mental, physical, and spiritual well-being instead 🌟

I believe one of the most essential parts of self care; before alone time, baths, meditation, art, is the requirement of a social environment that celebrates you taking care of yourself. I cannot emphasize enough the power in cauterizing toxic people. Years ago I had to take stock of my life and cut things that were making me sick; physically, mentally, emotionally. When I realized that the diagnosis was people, the choice arose: Do I keep this cancer on me and pray it doesn’t kill me? Or do I cut it out, sanitize the wound and move on with some scars?
I chose scars. At the time, it hurt. It seemed too violent. But now... when the time comes every few months, to take stock of my life, I notice that I haven't had to cut anyone out of my life in years. Years back, my self care didn’t really stick. No matter how I tried to take care of myself, it was just damage control. After I removed the toxic people, self care actually became healing. People in my life now know that I am better for their lives if I take care of me, and vice versa.

I don't really bother with baking – because it destroys nutrients and I’m very protective of them.
Butttt, I wanted chocolate and cake!
I definitely should have found a recipe – but most of them are full of rubbish - dairy, oil, sugar.
People often refer to foods as naughty or bad. I actively discourage labelling foods like this, because it's not actually correct, foods don't misbehave - people do! However, it is important for people to understand what foods promote health, and what foods increase their risk of disease. I switch the latter to tastys = foods we know aren't good for our health but we choose to enjoy anyway.
I picked some healthy cake ingredients, whizzed up the wet ingredients, folded in the dry, baked at 180°C for 25mins, and put berries on top to reduce the sugar spike! They turned out okkk hahaha. Actually they all got eaten… mostly by mee… so they turned out pretty well.
You can turn all of your loved foods into super healthy deliciousness! A big part of my job is adapting recipes to be healthier. I've found this really helps people as it turns what they know and love into healthy goodness. Most people have a lot of cooking knowledge already, so I help to build on what you already have! You know the drill – PM to work with me.
Flour is not ideal – but woman gotta eat cake! I initially wrote girl, but I constantly have to remind myself that I went through puberty many years ago and I am fully deserving of the woman title! Everyday I’m feminising!

TIP: Get a double punch of healthy skin benefits by mixing collagen peptides into hot lemon water!
As we age, our collagen production becomes less and less, resulting in fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging of the skin. Collagen peptides positively impact our skin by improving dermal strength, suppleness, elasticity, and promoting healing. Vitamin C is essential for collagen production in the body, it influences collagen synthesis. Foods rich in vitamin C, like lemons, come packed with antioxidants that protect our skin from oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals in the body. We are constantly exposed to oxidative stress that damages our skin cells (such as UV-induced damage), contributing to inflammation, hyperpigmentation, and aging of the skin.
Boost your body’s ability to produce more collagen, strengthen + heal the skin, and fight against oxidative stress by mixing the amazing benefits of collagen peptides and vitamin C together!

Post barre tacos to celebrate the weekend. Except this weekend will be spent mostly just working on my upcoming presentations and studying for a midterm. Luckily it’s nice outside today so I’m planning on doing some work outside that way I don’t have to sit in the library all weekend. Hope everyone has a good weekend! Let me know if you have anything fun planned.
#whatsonmyplate: two corn tortillas with scrambled eggs, spinach, @applegate maple chicken sausage, roasted red peppers, pico, 🥑, and some cilantro.
Friday night post dinner TV watching. @nanduawatramani and I were watching the Crown (thanks @pamelasawhney for the recco) and instead of just sitting there I decided to use that time to do some release work.
// It’s incredibly important to lengthen and release tight, jammed up muscles so that the body works efficiently and harmoniously. Otherwise all sorts of aches and pains and imbalances settle in while the body tries and compensates.
// Often times a tight muscle is a weak muscle - not the other way around. You need to release and then strengthen while keeping the muscle long.
// A bunched up muscle will also hinder you from having a long, lean look.
// These are my go-to tools. A roller, a pinky ball, and a rolling pin.

Avocado Smoothie Bowl: 🥑🥑🥑
Avocado, high protein spirulina smoothie, pomegranate seeds, pineapple, toasted coconut, chia seeds, hemp seeds, house pickled ginger, holy basil (tulsi). Avocados are actually a fruit with good fat that marries well with high protein spirulina. These flavors combine well with pineapple, a bromeliad rich in an enzyme called bromelin that eats twice its weight in fat! Pomegranate seeds are astringent (good for reducing heat in the body) and our fresh tulsi helps cleanse to the body as well. The smoothie bowl will cleanse and energize!

A delicious healthy meal with a simple recipe from the holistic health and nutrition program I've recently joined called The Healthstyle Emporium.
I love that they're all easy and free of nasty ingredients. Here is the recipe:
Garlic Roasted Broccoli
2 cups broccoli
2 tsp olive or canola oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
pinch of salt
Curry Roasted Sweet Potatoes
1 small sweet potato
1 tsp olive or canola oil
1 tsp curry powder
1 tsp sriracha
¾ cup quinoa, rinsed
1.5 cups vegetable broth
red pepper flakes
Preheat oven to 400F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prep your vegetables: chop broccoli into medium sized florets, scrub and slice the sweet potato into ¼” wide rounds.
Massage the broccoli florets with oil, garlic, salt and pepper - make sure to work the ingredients into the tops of the florets. Lay them in a row down the center third of a large baking sheet.
In the same bowl combine the oil, curry powder, salt, and sriracha. Add the sliced sweet potato and toss to coat. Lay the rounds on the remaining third of the baking tray.
Bake for 10 minutes. Flip the broccoli and sweet potatoes to promote even cooking. Bake for another 8-12 minutes
Rinse and drain the quinoa. Add rinsed quinoa and vegetable broth to a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Turn the heat down to medium-low, cover and simmer for approx. 15 minutes. Once cooked, fluff with a fork and set aside.
Assemble the bowls: Scoop ½ to 1 cup of quinoa into each bowl, top with ½ of the broccoli, ½ kale, and ½ sweet potatoes. Feel free to keep everything separated in the bowl or mix it all together #plantbased#hse#healthstyleemporium#plantstrong#vegan#hea#healthyn #healthymom#veganmom #healthy #healthyfamily#nourishyourself
REMINDER: the love you give (romantic and otherwise) may sometimes feel like it was for naught, or worse, is only there to hurt you. That is never the case. Your love is constantly guiding you towards your HIGHEST good. That doesn't mean you won't feel sad or hurt on the journey. Let the hurt come and go. Trust, feel your feels, and see what good shows up along the way.
