One major key to success is accessing the power of your mind and using it to control your future. The mind is the navigation to the Future, it is the necessary tools to living a successful life.

In honour of Black history History Month we recognize the beautiful Himba people who are indigenous people living in Namibia. As you can see from their portraits their hairstyles and jewelry play a significant role as it indicates age and social status within their community. #untoldstories #untoldblackstories #blackhistorymonth #knowyourblackhistory #blacklivesmatter #div#diversityers #diversity #blackroyalty #blackisbeautiful #blackexcellence #myblackisbeautiful #blackismyhappycolour #blackstyle #blackrenaissance #BHM #BHM365 #himba #africa #africianpride

Some thing's you are supposed to leave behind, even when it comes down to some memories from the past. Often times we invite the past back into our lives and it holds its down from reaching and obtaining our future (destiny). Not even realizing that what we need to get there is present in our lives currently. It could be right in front of you, but yet you neglect that very thing (or person) because you're still holding on to the past, which holds no value or weight to what's current. Learn how to let go of what you don't need so that you can receive everything that's you need.

BLACK HAIR HISTORY: 1880: Metal hot combs, invented in 1845. The combs are heated on stoves and gas heaters and used to temporarily straighten and smooth black kinky hair. 1954: The first permanent hair straightener for men introduced (the female version of the relaxer soon follows). Sales skyrocket with the promise of straighter hair texture. 1963: Actress Cicely Tyson makes a statement by wearing cornrows in the 1962 tv drama, East Side/West Side. 1970: Angela Davis becomes an icon of Black Power with her large Afro. 1971: Melba Tolliver is fired from ABC News for wearing an Afro while covering Tricia Nixon’s wedding. 1977: We see the creation and explosion of the Jheri curl, a style that promises defined curls without kink 1980: Grace Jones skyrockets in popularity with her flat-top fade haircut and gorgeous natural beauty 1990: “Sisters love the weave,” Essence magazine declares. A variety of natural styles and locks also become more accepted. 1993: Janet Jackson sports long box braids as part of her role in 1993's Poetic Justice 1997: Singer Erykah Badu poses on the cover of her debut album “Baduizm” with her head wrapped, ushering in an eclectic brand of Afrocentrism. #blackhistory #blackpeople #blackhistorymonth #blackhair #hotcomb #afro #relaxer #braids #headwrap #poeticjustice #janetjackson #afrocentric #baduizm #erykahbadu #kinkyhair #naturalhair #kinkychicks #myblackisbeautiful #blacklivesmatter #blackqueens #blackgirlmagic #blackgirlsrock #blackawareness #blackexcellence #blackhairstyles #blackhaircare #jhericurl #80shair #90shair #blackwoman @essence @ebonymagazine @blackhair101 @blackhairstyless @blackhairomg @blackhairmedia @blackhairinfo @blackhairmagic @black.hair.canada @blackhairworldwide @blackhairshop @blackhairvelvet

So when we found out @cocosaladc was closing its doors we had to jump on it. We have memories together and individually there. With a weeks notice we just knew that we wouldn't be able to make everyone's schedule work BUT WE DID (look at God!). Let me tell you. There is nothing like a GOOD GOOD Girlfriend. I laughed so much that I feel like I have had an ab workout. I told @zakiya_onpoint that I would be home by 10pm, but time flies when you are having fun. I can't remember the last time we were all together. And the poor table next to us. Shout out to our new friend @cnelly1321 and her group for enduring all of our cackling. It is just what happens when we get together. Find you some good good girlfriends and keep them close. Love you ladies!
