Happy Humpday ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ My performance at the gym last night wasn't the best ๐Ÿ˜ด but it felt good to get back on form this morning after feeling more rested. I've been feeling run down recently and I've noticed negative thoughts creeping in ๐Ÿ™ˆThrough being busy I've sacrificed a lot of sleep the last few weeks. It goes to show how much sleep is for both your physical performance and mental wellbeing. Everything is better when you sleep well, so taking steps to improving and prioritising your sleep no matter how busy you get is really important ๐Ÿ’š Here are a few steps that help me: 1. Get organised - plan ahead where you can, that way you can manage your time a lot easier.โœจ 2. Write a list of what you need to get done or anything that's on your mind. That way it's not so much in your head and you can switch off a bit more knowing you won't forget. โœจ 3. Have some time without your phone and without emails in the evening, just relax and truly switch off - listen to music, do some yoga/stretches, have a bath, whatever makes you feel calm. โœจ 4. Avoid sugar and caffeine late afternoon/evening. It can affect your quality of sleep. โœจ 5. Download a 'sleep cycle' app that allows you to wake up in your light sleep phases rather than deep sleep. It monitors when your in a light sleep within a 30 minute period you set your alarm to.
