The studio is my happy place 🤗 when I first started working at the gym I had no idea how to workout.. before that I would workout at home and was always miserable running on the treadmill or doing online videos alone in my room. I came from a background of loving to dance and move but was horrible at most sports, so besides dance I felt like I had to exercise all alone.
When I started doing classes it was the first time I actually started enjoying working out. It didn't feel like a punishment.. it felt like a group of people getting together to move and have fun! I got certified and started teaching classes a couple years later and have loved it ever since! I now feel more comfortable in a gym and enjoy weight lifting on my own as well and am always interested in trying out new things to keep it interesting!
Find a way to exercise that you can enjoy! Moving your body should not be a punishment it should be something that fills you up and makes you feel more alive. You don't have to do certain workout because other people are doing them or say they are the best. If being active is new to you keep trying new things until you find an activity you love; whether it be sports, dancing, walking with a friend, kick box, cross fit, yoga, weightlifting, swimming, pole dancing.. whatever! This is YOUR life.. do what you love and love what you do!
