Early mornings need a #cupofjoey 😍 Thanks to one of our regulars, Lindsey, for taking this awesome shot! Missed us today? We'll be in Scottsdale tomorrow morning --> 8800 N Gainey Center Dr from 7 - 9:30 AM (ish). See you there!
Mondays have me plodding out of bed with the determination to get the week started strong, only to be met with opposition and a fierce determination from my children to keep the weekend going just a little longer.
These children of mine do not give in or up easily🤨, as we are in the second semester and the Monday battle is still going strong.
Not sure why they wake up on Tuesdays more cooperative but the day following Sunday is a battle well fought on both of our parts.
Monday afternoon is here, lessons with mama are finished, older kids are sitting down with their books, the 3 in betweens are exploring the woods and the smallest one is dreaming. I have finally found a moment to sit, after cleaning up a “weird” lunch of whatever I could find amongst the shelves and the fridge, before I begin dinner prep and head out to dance lessons and swimming for me.
All that to say; I wanted to tell you about our composer for this semester, Franz Schubert. Let me say first, we left the fall semester dreamy eyed and hearts overtaken with Chopin, like can’t get enough of what he wrote, only to be introduced to Schubert which at first was just a dread to listen too. 6 weeks in though, I am falling for him also, and his story- beautifully intriguing, opening up the soul of the writer of this music that fills our early mornings and afternoons. He plays throughout the day, in the quiet moments when talking doesn’t get over a whisper and we are seeing him evenly more clearly.
These lessons for me in composer and art study are magical times, something I never learned in depth and looking back, if I had, I would have pursued this so much more in my education; but instead I am experiencing this beauty that came from their souls right along with my kids and loving it.
**check my stories to hear a little of Schubert over the baby’s snores
Baby Bug is awake and living life by 7am every day... except Monday.
On Sundays I'm in the kitchen by 9am and I'm there till around 7pm when the kids get fed and i get cleaned up and into clothes that aren't covered in 10 hours of prep smears, splatters, and spills. I load up and leave for residential deliveries by 8 and get home around 11. Little Dude ALWAYS comes down to keep me company while i turn over the kitchen till 1, sometimes 2am... On Mondays I get up at 5:30am and wake up a super sleepy fussy Bug so he can potty while I load the car for non-residential deliveries, and then I tuck him back into bed... I get back home around 8:30, always with the intention of getting straight to cleaning the kitchen, checking in with clients, organizing the weeks receipts/orders/recipes etc.... But as soon as I get in the door I hear pibble paws hit the floor upstairs and I know he's waiting for me, if I don't go up there, he'll start mooing, he'll wake his sister, she'll start mooing, and I'll feel like a terrible momma... so on Monday mornings, I get home, I get back into jammies and into bed so Baby Bug can sleep on me. The dishes can wait... this fussy fuss needs me. #mommylife#dogmomlife#dogmomaf#pibbles#mondaymorning#sleepypuppy#ilovehims
