A couple weeks after having my son at the age of 21, I made a choice to put away the scale. 👋🏼 To this day it resides under my cabinet until it’s the start of a new phase in my Bootcamp. ⠀ I was obsessed with perfection and couldn’t accept myself for not feeling amazing + bouncing back like a celebrity 😉. I had baby blues and was ASHAMED of myself for it. 🤔 Now I look back with sadness thinking about the moments I wasted with my new baby in internal turmoil about my lack of perfection. ⠀ It isn’t always easy to make a lifestyle shift, and I notice that it honestly needs to start as a MINDSET shift for most of my bootcampers (including me, 6 years ago). Precisely why I don't weigh myself often. In fact, I rarely weigh myself and did this to prove a point. So many freak out over a few pounds. This was just today! In the morning before breakfast, after lunch, before dinner, then after snack before bed. I gained just under 3 lbs today alone. Our weight flunctuates. You won’t find motivation without inspired action. 🤸🏼‍♂️ Motivation will come after you make the decision to just START....STOP 🛑 making the excuses for why you can’t and you will find the inspiration. And in the inspiration comes motivation. Today I left it all on the floor. 💦 I walked away from that workout saying I gave it everything I had; every last ounce of excitement, fear, nervous, tired, and overwhelmed feelings. You know, the feelings that leave you feeling small?!?! 🤷🏼‍♀️ When my body was screaming, “no more, I can’t”...I let me inner voice say, “hell yes you can. Push harder.” 💥 I am hearing from many of you who are wanting to try what I’m doing but telling yourself a million excuses. Time, schedule, fitness level, are the top 3 right now. Well, I can confidently tell you that none of that matters when you make the decision that you are ready to GO....That you WANT MORE and are WORTH MORE. 💕💕💕 It’s not hard to find that motivation when you are in it...are you ready?? 🙌🏼

💟It’s crazy, to say the least, how ones life can change so drastically over the years💟 • When I was 21, I was having so much fun! Living away at school, partying 4 out of 7 nights, playing drinking games, eating what ever the hell when I wanted, and not caring about all that potential damage I was doing to my body. Monday. UHHH. Back to work after ten days off. 400+ emails waiting for me. Rockton didn't want to sleep. It's freezing out. I'm tired. Still have to make the bottles and my lunch. Excuses were endless today --- literally flying arrows coming at me! Sometimes if I think about all the excuses as outside forces trying to get me down, instead of as internal inventions that I feel guilty for thinking about, it makes it much easier to punch them in the face! Booty today. Phase 2 is HARD! Lots of shaking. Not sure if you all know but last Wednesday I had a miscarriage. It’s my 2nd in a short period. And it really knocked me down emotionally, spiritually and physically. I almost passed out when it happened from pain. So I decided to just rest last week. But today I am so glad to be back physically. I pushed myself to use heavier weights and I literally felt myself transforming through the workout. I needed to prove to myself how strong I am. That I can overcome. That I am more than what happens to me. That I am not a failure. That I AM a powerful force. So yes I may have been knocked down, but not out. . . I read something the other day about how God tests us sometimes when we are in a battle. But only when he knows we will WIN. When Jesus was led into the wildnerness he wasn’t led there by Satan the SPIRIT (aka God) led him there. It was a test God knew Jesus would win. The devil tempts is, God tests us to see that He can trust us. He wants to see that even in the wildnerness we don’t buy into the enemy’s lies. That we trust in God when we don’t necessarily know the way out. We trust in His plan, not ours,His strength, not our own. Just as it was with Jesus. The wilderness is preparation. When one door closes, God opens another, but it’s Hell in the hallway. . . Well. I’m walking through that hallway right now. Not sure where it’s leading but I know it’s somewhere great. Whew 9-9 for my workout record. I was really tired y’all and I had a slight headache. But @coachswaggybooz pushed us and we got it done. It was heavy on the row and that’s the one machine I really have a love hate relationship with. Well that and the treadmill. But I plan to master it one day doggone it! For my nutrition I will focus on the quantity and quality of the food I eat. So I won’t be doing any counting or restricting...just using good ole common sense to eat what I should and limit when needed. Low carb works the best for me to lose weight but I wanted to do something different. Something that’s more sustainable for me. 2018, take two. Man, if this past six weeks have taught me anything, it’s that the New Year is not always the best “new beginning”. So much has occurred, so much very difficult, personal crap, yup there is no better suited word to describe it, CRAP. I let myself slip, everything, ALL of it. I worked a “fun” job that I drowned in. It wore me out, drained me physically and emotionally, and now I am left broken, again, attempting to recover, again. Thankfully, I caught myself, again, and was aware enough in my behavior and thoughts, to know I needed to be reigned in quite a bit. Today, I walked into “my gym” for the second time in six weeks, but emotionally and mentally, it was for the first time in months. It wasn’t my first day back, I was there yesterday (pink shirt in second photo) and I feel lost, for lack of better words, but I am just trucking along, reading my body cues and following instinct. It will flow again soon with faith. Faith, the one thing I’ve been missing brought this all. And support. But stepping back into my gym, the smiles, the hugs, the ‘how are yous?’ and ‘I missed yous’ as well as ‘Happy Birthdays!’ ... First day at my new job consisted of redoing all the training I went thru last time I worked for a State Farm Office-I’m only about 1/2 way done. It was a great first day but my body hurt from sitting all day-I was excited to come home and workout-took a walk with my mom, did my pilates workout while Bud ate dinner and now we are pushing play on the 80 day obsession! . . . My goal for the next 10 days is to continue my walks, and 80 Day Obsession workouts while adding in this pilates challenge!! 💪💪💪
