Things to consider when choosing a gym

Statistically, January is the most common month to join the gym. Whether it’s a new start, a New Years resolution, your first time, or you just fancy a change in scenery to your current one, there are lots of key things to consider when choosing your workout venue. Get it wrong and it could cost you your fitness results. .
If you’re a gym warrior, novice, or just have no clue where to start, joining a gym can be a daunting prospect for some people.
We all have different opinions about what’s important to us. It’s a very personal choice.
There are lots of things to consider. For example, location, classes, opening times, cost, equipment, on-site facilities, staff, customer service and general atmosphere to name just a few.
Make a list of the things that you’ve prioritised and shortlist the gyms that fit the criteria.
Once you have a few gyms in mind, it’s essential to have a look around and talk through your options with the sales team before committing. Most of the time there is a membership contract involved so try not to rush into anything without doing your research first.
Walking around the gym and talking through your options with a member of staff will enable you to make the best choice. .
