3 weeks of strict keto reset done. I've incorporated lots of Intermittent Fasting over the last 3 weeks with a fairly strict schedule this week.
160lbs seems to be where my body naturally wants to be. I plateaued there before Christmas for a looooong time and after the terrible carb fest at Christmas, I was having massive issues getting back down to where I was pre-holidays.
Finally I am back to the weight I was right before the holidays.
The main difference between 2017 and 2018 is that I am now incorporating much more exercise: both cardio and strength training. So hopefully that will help me maintain my below 160 weight. Weekends are tough but as long as I don't slide back too much, I should be able to maintain. 🤞

Seriously may just get rid of all of my other crock pots, this thing is a life changer! I also made bone broth (usually takes 24-48 hrs) in about 1.5 hours! 👊🏼🤪
✅Let’s just all take a pause: why would anyone listen to an orthopedic surgeon who does nothing but eat meat about nutrition? Oh, my mistake. It’s diet we’re talking about. The dumbest bells chime loudest.
✅When asked about where he heard about the diet by Joe Rogan, the good doctor responded: “Well, there’s a Facebook group”.
✅Is this actually happening? I’ve gotten more DM’s asking my opinion about this bullshit from people, and the evidential basis for it is a Facebook group?
✅”But everyone is getting great results on it”. Ok, ok. So you’re saying that an obese/metabolically unhealthy person who eats purely protein with some added fat, and fasts for 18+hrs a day, is getting good results? Wow. Must be meat huh, not the pronounced calorie deficit?
✅Anytime justifications for a diet are based on an obscure “evolutionary past”, it is narrative-based bullshit. Oily fish credited with encephalisation (the growth spurt of the human brain). Why not eat only fish?
✅The idea that plant foods are somehow NOT part of our “evolutionary past” is, of course, more narrative-based farcical fantasy.
✅Every single healthy diet pattern on the planet, and every population group in which longevity and healthspan are observed, consume diets rich in plant-based foods.
✅That is not to say they don’t consume animal-based foods also. They do. But get this: there is not one shred, scintilla, nay sighting of a population anywhere, at any time in recorded human history, that eats meat and excludes all vegetables and other nutrient-dense foods of plan origin.
✅Other health effects? We have some robust research now showing the deleterious effects of low (or zero in this case) fibre diets that are high in animal protein and fat.
✅I’m being asked about this diet as if it’s a got research or science backing it up. Let’s be clear: “Evidence” for this diet: Zero.
✅Let’s think hard people: where is there evidence that a diet low in fibre, low in antioxidants, low in phytochemicals, vegetables and fruit is beneficial to human health? You go, I’ll wait here.
✅Didn’t find anything? That’s ok. Lesson learnt.
O almocinho de hoje foi risotinho de vegetais! Piquei bem pequeno o brócolis 🥦, piquei cebola e cenoura 🥕 com tamanhos maiores! Você decide o que quer colocar! Eu coloquei o que tinha na minha geladeira, mas todos os vegetais são bem vindos!! 💕Acrescentei 2 colheres de creme de leite e duas fatias de queijo 🧀 (gordura boa 😋). Joguei ervas finas por cima. Delícia!! 🤩
Juro, jurandinho que não ta tão difícil o whole30, mas a vontade de um queijinho ou chocolate 80%..... ain ain... Ontem acabei não treinando, um calorrrrr mas um calooorrr que ate não me deixou dormir de madrugada.
Café da manhã, 10h, dois ovos caipiras mexidos com alho e espinafre e café, confesso que não devo repetir a combinação nem tão cedo, ainda não consigo comer direito ovo mexido com pouca coisa misturada, traumatizei legal com isso 😫, o que é horrível pois é o cafe da manhã mais prático. Vou continuar colocando tomate, cebola e o que mais eu tiver na geladeira pra conseguir comer. Quanto a ovo cozido, frito, poche, continua sendo amorzim.
Almoço, 12h, no restaurante da esquina do trabalho. Alface, tomate, cenoura, beterraba, ovo de codorna, batata doce, banana frita e frango grelhado. Não tinha visto a banana antes de pegar a batata doce, acabei nem comendo a batata.
Lanche, 16h30, não tava nem com fome, mas e a vontade de comer? Arghhh, ontem eu tava demais. Antes uns pedacinhos de coco com cafe do que me atracar com chocolate.
Jantar, 21h, bife de contra-filé, alface, azeitona recheada com pimentão vermelho, tomate e cebola fritos. Depois comi um punhadim de pistache. [Juh]
