Would you sit here all day and watch this water flow?
We definitely would! .
This trail led us alongside the stream of water headed towards Cataract Falls. These mini falls acted as a little teaser, but we can't complain one bit. 😍🤗 .
No winter fish today but we did manage to find this late season buck and rise some trout to dry flies! Great day to be on the water 👊🏻
Workin’ those riding muscles!! 🐎 All legs and booty with these squat jumps! 🔥🔥🔥 It’s funny, I could do squat jumps all day; I love them!! 🏋🏼♀️ But, I am the biggest wimp when it comes to push ups! 😂 What exercises do you love, and which ones do you hate??
We started at the bottom and went to the top. Raced today, happy to place first but wow it was painful 😕. My old boots broke and my new boots I knew with 100% confidence would cause blisters. I raced anyway. As I raced I felt my heels become more and more raw; I thought of quitting, I thought of stopping...but stubbornness, competitiveness or something else just wouldn’t let me. I am not fully confident I made the right choice when I surveyed my bloody socks and messed up feet after 🤔. I do know though that racing is a big mental game, you take chances on descents ⛷ you push yourself hard on the ups, you talk to yourself and a thousand different thoughts 💭 go through your head over the course of 1600 meters and 2hrs. I am still working on the mental game of when to push and when to throw in the towel. That is something I love about athletics you are constantly learning, fine tuning and growing and perhaps what you learn on the race track will translate into growth in real life 😊. Now time to meet some friends and have a drink😊 Cheers 🍻 to learning and growing, always up, always forward 👍#ski #skitouring#backcountryskiing#skimo#skimountaineering#race#learning
Love this quote by @chipgaines! This social media presence that Matt and I are starting, sharing our crazy journey as we start businesses and live our dream... it’s super scary. Every other minute, I go from excited to absolutely terrified and want to shut it down. Today we felt God giving us a “you’re passionate about this for a reason, keep going.”
We ran into an acquaintance while out and about today and he asked how our business was going. As we talked, he mentioned wishing he had started a business he loved years ago but, as he got closer to retirement age, felt like he missed his chance. .
What!? It’s never too late to start! It was so great to chat and we got to encourage him to go for it! We are half his age but we got to tell him he could still do it and we saw the wheels in his head start to turn.
Sometimes you just need ONE person to believe in YOUR dormant dream, to give you the push you need. .
We love being that for people. .
Join us on the journey👈🏼👈🏼
Day 24 // Today was low-key and somewhat uneventful. We’ve been driving by a Waffle House seemingly every 15 miles on this trip, so we finally decided to give it a try this morning. It definitely didn’t compete with Dave’s homemade waffles, but it was quite alright. We bummed wifi at Target to FaceTime with Dave’s parents, got a few groceries, and visited the outlets for an hour or so. The rain has kept us inside this afternoon, but it has been alright as Dave’s been providing music, we made pizza for supper, and the kids have been busy with Lego.
