It's been raining for days and days so when the sun came out today, we wasted no time getting out the door. We went to lunch at a restaurant we've been meaning to try and then, you guessed it, went shopping for plants. 😆 🌿
Daddy is watching Monster trucks and Emma and I are having a very relaxing girls day. Oh how I love her.
What an amazing day! 😄💕 And such a lovely way to end it too - I absolutely loved The Greatest Showman! It was SO different to the sort of films I usually watch, it actually felt like a bit of escapism for a while. It was a great feel-good film, I even had tears in my eyes a few times. ❤️ Have had one of the best days today and I’m so grateful to my amazing in-laws for having our boys today for us so that Adam and I could have some quality time together. 💖 Can’t wait for snuggles with them tomorrow though (the boys not the in-laws 😂).
Saturday night with a book and cake sounds good to me. I may have even treated myself to pizza for dinner. Hubby is out with friends and the kids are long in bed so why not? It’s me time! Baby doesn’t seem to want to stop kicking around so it doesn’t look like sleep for me anytime soon tonight. This book has been a great distraction. I am keeping up with my challenge of a book a week for a whole year. Even managed two books two weeks in a row last month so I have two in the stock pile. I need some new recommendations now as I have only two more left in my pile before I am looking for the next page turner? Any suggestions? Please send me your book lists !!! #lifecloseup#readeveryday
After a pretty rubbish day of sickness in this household, it’s made me feel a hundred times better seeing the love this little dude has for his little brother. He asked for brody to come into bed with him for his bedtime story and he cuddled into him the whole time 😍 so beyond proud of how Riley has taken to being a big brother
Throwback to yesterday when this little one was happy to be playing outdoors, unlike today when he screeched his way around our country park walk 🤦🏻♀️ I still got a lovely wee catch up with my bff @fourlittlefeetandme and her gorgeous littles however, so it was a nice afternoon overall. 💛
Off to enjoy a wine and a film with the hubs, before a busy day of cleaning, marking and another preschooler birthday party for Austen tomorrow.
Have a lovely eve all 🙌🏻
Trains aren’t just for boys! Miss Belle is so into her train track at the moment... we played this a lot today whilst Daddy went to the footy with his friend visiting from Bolton. He’s the nicest guy and brought Miss Belle this Troll teddy from Frozen, and a Paddington Bear for the Little Man. Miss Belle took her Troll to bed and said “night night troll” and gave it a kiss. I love how quickly she gets attached to things! 💕
A pretty amazing, relaxing and special 24-hours celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary in Cheltenham! 🥂🍾🍴🍰🥃 Back home now to our excited twins and it’s back in sweatpants and drinking decaf tea kinda night 😂 I *think* that’s the end of us celebrating our anniversary now, although I am still waiting for my Gucci bag...maybe it’s lost in the post 😉 #leopardprint#nightoffparenting#weddinganniversary
I said this morning we’d peaked in the good Saturday morning stakes and I was so right. Today my beautiful one year old headbutted me in the face in the Aldi queue because I wouldn’t let him roll around on the floor, I like to think it was unintentional but I couldn’t swear to it! I do know it bloody hurt and resulted in me abandoning the blue milk and French fries we’d popped in to get as our cashier had disappeared and I couldn’t face any more wrestling with the strongest toddler I know! #mumlife#wishihadapacketoffrenchfriesrightnow#my1yearoldiscrazy
✨ Thrifty Living ✨
Today I attended the #giffgaffplansmart event in Manchester and learnt to cook this fabulous thrifty vegan Moroccan tagine filo parcel with cous cous! Swipe to see what else we got up to, including a #clothesswap, making up cycled jewellery and more! It was the first blogging event I’d been to on my own in a while and I was a little nervous but had such a lovely time!
Flowers for my mummy 😍
This boy tested everyone’s patience today on a trip to Reading. He kept climbing out the pushchair, wouldn’t hold anyone’s hands and kept shouting ‘no’ at everything 🙈
Tomorrow will be a new day and fingers crossed he’s in a better mood!
So that beautiful @joanieclothing dress which I featured in my Stories the other day arrived and is too small 😭 But at least I got this cute card with the order ❤💪👑
Helping care for their plant siblings and wearing no pants, it must be Saturday 😂🌱💖. Had the cutest day shopping, eating cake, drinking coffee and making the most of the beautiful sunshine ☀️. Then we repotted and bathed our plant babies which resulted in a scratch on the wooden work top but let’s not dwell on that 🙈. Im off to eat lasagne and watch rubbish TV now these two monkeys are sleeping. Definitely a Saturday well spent✨. Hope you’ve all had the most lovely day 💖
Up a bit... down Dad...down.. Massage for a poorly Baba whilst watching Minions. Hate her being sick!
pretty palette of recent finds 🌄
This evening (after this photo) ended with me googling "when to worry when your baby hits her head". It's all very well having the stair-gate but it doesn't shut itself. Lucky escape, lesson learned. I wish I had kept my google search history over the last year (can you even do that?), it would have been a real measure of how I've found motherhood. My guess is 90% worrying, 5% things to do with baby when it's freezing out and 5% vintage baby clothes. She's fine BTW and we have a Chinese coming so I'll eat away the guilt before it eats away at me #motherhoodthroughinstagram#toddlerproofing#thanksdoctorgoogle
🏊🏻♂️SABATO - SATURDAY🏊🏻♂️
Too much energy this one! Wish I had half of it! Hope you’ve had a great day? Did you head out into the cold? This is the boy at Eltham Palace, they have a fantastic play area... as well as an amazing house and gardens should you brave going in with your cheeky ones! #buonasera#buonanotte❤
Once upon a time, this lovely little girl had a head full of blonde hair. One day it would be curly, the next straight with some flicks or most mornings like a birds nest 😂. Over the last two years it’s grown lots, changed colour and adds to the fact how much she has grown 💕😭, it also adds to the fact that I get her mixed up with big sister at a side glance too! Always trying to cheer people up, has such a big heart and is always offering her heart warming cuddles ❤️, She requested curls this afternoon for her dance exam. Her & Yves both did so well 💕
The seven-year-old has decided she wants to be a pop star when she grows up. And she sees no reason why this can’t work alongside her previous career choice of teacher. “I’ll do concerts in the school holidays,” she told me, matter of factly. So while I brush up on my Kris Kardashian ‘Momager’ skills, you can find me caressing my new gold spot trainers (bonus points if you spotted my attractive sock marks 😳) [trainers: gift from @boden_clothing, jeans: gift from @joulesclothing, sock marks: models’ own #bodenbyme#colourinmysquare#colourfulmums#capturingcolour#mumsthatslay#lifecloseup ]
A Saturday just the girls 😍 We had a fun one today at a birthday party full of three year olds and Emma was in her element! It's so lovely to see her enjoying herself with her nursery friends...I've always wanted to be a fly on the wall at nursery 😉 So this afternoon was a chilled one by the beach wrapped up warm despite the sunshine peaking through #brightonandhove#lifecloseup#familyweekendfun#littlefamiliesofig#thismamaloves
Spent my whole day away from these three, which considering it’s a weekend, kind of sucked. I was doing some school governor training, which was interesting and important, and has left my brain feeling a bit frazzled. But it was nice to have a day of being a grown up and not just being “someone’s mum” for a bit. And Rich managed to build furniture and do the food shop with three in tow, so he gets brownie points. But my goodness was I glad to get back to them all (and to get the excited welcome home cuddles that are normally reserved for Daddy - “absence makes the heart fonder” and all that jazz!!!) And I will stop holiday spamming at some point... but that point is not today. Because today all I saw was a PowerPoint presentation and a lot of handouts, and nobody in the world could make that instagrammable.
I'm doing this amazing course called Creating Your Hearts Desire with @soniachoquette .... I'm only week 1, but have already learnt so much about manifesting.
I've done manifestation courses before and found them really silly to be honest. One of them even had me write out what I wanted to manifest 55 days for 5 days straight. As a mum, who has the time to do that?
I love Sonia's course so far because it is all about tapping into your intuition. Something I have become super interested in since I had a seriously crazy intuitive download late last year.
My hearts desire right now is to create a kick-ass, soulful, successful, empowering, authentic and powerful business (man that's a lot of adjectives).
The way in which I am connecting with this desire is really natural, beautiful and easy. The more I learn about manifesting and intuition, the more I know I want to teach it one day. Can't wait to share more with you all xx
What's one thing you would love to create in your life right now?
Well wasn’t today bloody cold! Doesn’t stop any parent going out though, especially when your nearly 3 year old has so much energy and is driving you insane by 9am 😂We went to #winkwortharboretum so Rosie could burn off some energy but all she wanted to do was sit down outside and watch the ducks! I think we’ll find somewhere to go inside tomorrow. Any suggestions that isn’t soft play?
How can someone be such a terror, but also completely adorable all at the same time? We took him into town today to pick up some bits and pieces and in true terrible twos style his mood changed like the wind the whole time 🙈 early night for him tonight as he’s shattered (and so are we!) and we want him well rested in preparation for his birthday party tomorrow 🎉

Today was one of the days that I love. Crisp blue sky, bright sun and the air feeling fresh ❄! We got up early to head off on another shared parental leave Friday adventure. Bump was as snug as a bug in his buggy. We had such a great time just mooching around enjoying the fresh air.
Having said that, it was lovely to come back home to a toasty warm house. We have had a relaxing late afternoon with the rugby on, playing with our toys and ensuring our sitting up is mastered 😊.
It has been a really great Saturday 😁.
Happy weekend my lovelies 😘.
It is far too quiet here... the children are with their Daddy and I'm missing them like crazy! This shot was taken when filming our latest vlog - a @jellybellyuk taste challenge! I absolutely loved watching them squirm 😂 the link is in my bio if you'd like to watch! #notanad#gifted
