It can be hard to come back to training when you take time off, it can be even harder when Drs literally cut you open and pull a small human out of you! Sam was so afraid after she had her beautiful daughter Nikolette that she would never be able to lose the weight she gained from childbirth and would never be strong again. Guys I gotta be real! I woke up with a massive headache, my stomach kept having sharp pains, and the right side of my head was stuffy. It was a SLOW morning. I slept TERRIBLE, getting maybe 5 hours of actual sleep, even though I was in bed for almost 9. .
I have to work later and at some point before tomorrow night, need to get groceries. I honestly thought about skipping leg day just because I wasn’t sure how I’d survive and wanted to rest.
But I didn’t.
I may be off with my #timednutrition today just because food isn’t even appealing, but I still pushed play.
I attempted round 1 with weights, but kept it lighter than I normally would. But then right around that halfway mark, I got dizzy and felt like I may pass out. So I pressed pause, sat down for a few until the feeling passed, and finished the workout the best I could. Round 2, I didn’t use any weights (except for the hip hinges). I had to stop a few more times due to the dizziness, but I kept going, and I finished. Even without weights I still felt it. .
My point?? YOU CAN DO HARD THINGS. YOU CAN push yourself just a little bit past that comfort zone.
My theory is, unless i literally can’t walk, or I’m puking, I’m going to at least try. It may not be pretty, and it may not be perfect, but THAT’S OK! .
