A rare non-pox related post 😱. Also a bit of a departure from the norm for me, but I really wanted to share this little space with you because I love it 😍. This is a corner of our upstairs landing. It’s always been a bit of a nothingy area. We had a little table there and a lamp (so we can leave it on overnight for wandering children), but it’s forever been a bit uninspiring. Anyway, the Spouse, who finally proved himself useful for something, found this round shelf at @tescofood and suddenly I could envisage what I wanted this space to be. And thus, we have a reading corner 📖. It sort of feels like we’ve created a whole extra room. Plus, it gives me a place to sit during bathtime (the bathroom is just out of shot on the left). Obviously there’s a cat gleefully leaving her fur all over the chair as we speak (makes a nice change from the tiny sky box) and Rufus has already decided that his new favourite thing to do is stand on it and snog himself in the mirror; but I can imagine us making lots of use of this little corner (it will 100% come in handy when we eventually sleep train Rufus) so I’m proper chuffed with it 🙌🏻.
Spread the light, be the lighthouse. My new favorite quote helping to give me a little courage with the embarrassing stuff I keep sharing on my blog. Link in bio, for everyone interested in watching me make a fool of myself! 💡🕯🔮✨💫
