Perishables Manager, Rachel, and Store Manager, Stacey, stopped into @oldcapfood yesterday to see where our awesome #local#tofu is made. They use #iowagrown soybeans and take a lot of pride in the art of making tofu, handcrafted in small batches. They even create their own silk screens and print their labels by hand. We are proud to sell their tofu at the #coo#coop. Thanks for the tour, Jake! #localrocks#eatmoretofu #coop
😍 Love to see local farmers in shopping, supporting other local farmers! Ann from Pheasant Run Farm is buying Sarah’s @agriculturedfoods kombucha & James’s Organic Greens sprouts!
Ann grows slicing tomatoes🍅, lunchbox peppers🌶, strawberries🍓, greenhouse ginger & turmeric, and positively beautiful flowers 💐 for the Co-op, in season.

“Adopt the pace of nature; her secret is patience.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson. This photo was taken the morning after my daughter’s wedding on our farm. I found this bridesmaids bouquet in a bucket of water on a buffet table and felt so grateful for the beautiful ceremony we hosted. But this morning, I need some patience and peace. For some reason, I am feeling angst about the upcoming growing season. Perhaps it’s because our baby seedlings are starting to emerge from their trays under the lights. I want to fast forward to the height of the growing season when the fields are in full bloom and I know it’s going to be ok. Know that we have successfully nurtured our flowers and they are beautiful and bring joy to those who receive them. But spring and summer will come in their due time. Until then I will tend to our seedling babies and care for them the best that I can until it’s warm enough to plant them outside so they can stretch their stems and color the world. #happyweekend everyone! #bouquet#patience#localflowers#givemestrength#iowagrown#flowerfarmer#faith#bochnerfarms#bochnerflowers
Grow babies grow! Our little daylily seedlings are coming along nicely. We will plant these out in the spring, and if they produce strong healthy flowers we will propagate them for future sales to daylily lovers, collectors, landscapers, and nurseries. It’s a long process but the hubs is a daylily addict. So, there’s that. 😘
If only I could put into words how thankful I am for this man and the impact that he has on my life, my family, and so many others ❤️
Dad, I am so thankful that the in the 50 years of life so far that you’ve been blessed with, that I have been able to spend 25 of those with you. Im thankful for your thoughtfulness, your kindness, your discipline, your work ethic, your ability to make jokes and smiles out of the smallest things, your love for cookies, your love for Agriculture, your love for your family, your love for me, and your love and faithfulness to the Lord ❤️
Life sometimes isn’t easy with me dad, ha, I know I can be a little too strong willed and way too sassy sometimes, but you always support me and you always just smile and hug me no matter what. ☺️
You’re the number one man in my life dad. I love you ❤️Happy 50th Birthday ‘little blue man😉’
Hotel baths during our hot minute in Iowa this weekend. 🛁
Riley got to drive through 3 states as we visited my Grandpa who wasn’t doing so hot. I’m happy to say he’s recovering well & we had a nice visit with family that we don’t see often. We’re so grateful for my parents who traveled with us to help out and keep us company. Sometimes it really does take a tribe to raise a family, and I will never not be thankful for that. ♥️
Also, we survived our first road trip with a toddler which is both empowering & traumatizing. 😂 Just kidding, but we may not be traveling again any time soon. 😉
How was your first travel experience with little ones? 🚗
Representing the hometown at the gym tonight 😉 Glad I could get back in here before yet another week passed. I’ve failed getting up early the past two mornings... maybe one day I’ll be a morning person. 😂
